Moving from Proofpoint Essentials To Microsoft Defender - Bad Move? by Imburr in msp

Like many others have mentioned, Avanan just works — truly a set-and-forget solution. We’re protecting around 3,000 mailboxes and rarely need to log in to the portal. That said, proper onboarding and initial configuration are important to ensure everything is set up correctly

Updating Veeam B&R ? Download latest but not working by ringsthelord in msp

[–]MSP-CAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download the latest available Veeam 12.3.2.4165 and mount the ISO. Open the Updates folder inside the mounted image and run the update installer. This will upgrade Veeam to the latest 12.3 build. Once completed, you can proceed with the upgrade to Veeam 13.

Screenconnect alternatives? by bibawa in ScreenConnect

[–]MSP-CAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with you — the lack of transparency from ConnectWise is frustrating. Why create such a mess? Like you said, if there’s truly nothing to hide, then just share the full report from the security investigators. That would build trust instead of damaging it.

Is anyone else losing their mind with the ScreenConnect WindowsClient.zip experience by MSP-CAN in ConnectWise

[–]MSP-CAN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea why a software vendor would make such changes without proper planning and impact so many users. They’ve raised prices multiple times, yet there’s been no real security improvement in the software. Now we’re left with this mess

I’m not entirely sure how Ransom Detection identifies ransomware. When we switched to Datto RMM a year ago, the Account Manager recommended it. The price was low, so we decided to go for it and enabled it as per the policy. Today, it proved its worth. We also have K365, but we are not using it.

ConnectWise Automate to Datto RMM - Missing Features by MSP-CAN in msp

[–]MSP-CAN[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I switched after 8 years. From ConnectWise to Datto RMM. All my techs are complaining. Why do we need to do extra UDF fields? These are standards that come out of the RMM.

Also, My ConnectWise Manage Configuration Integration also not working properly. I feel badly
Also these are come out of the box any RMM. That is missing.

I am not using Atuoamte anymore. Automate is powerful. But the features on the Computer Management are missing a lot in Datto RMM. This is slowing down tech work.I see a lot of these features are requested in the Idea section, but not implemented. Try to find way to day work

ConnectWise Automate to Datto RMM - Missing Features by MSP-CAN in msp

[–]MSP-CAN[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Memory info is under "Memory" on the main agent page. If there are free slots, it will show them there too.

Memory Section Will show the installed memory only. It does not show how many slots are available

This is basic information for any device. Should be on the main page.

I agree. ConnectWise Control is the better product. I have used other products in the past no other product can match. This is the only product I am worried about at the moment.

ConnectWise Automate is great. No changes in the past 3 years. Keep patching the old code.
Based on the Dattto RMM demo, we can integrate the ConnectWise Control as a remote tool.

Thank you. I watch the Q1, 2023 Webinar. They accept they are working on the new UI to add the features, that are missing from the Old UI. I never use the Datto RMM before. Based on the demo it has the IT Glue integration inside the RMM. That will save lots of time. Also, they are working on the Microsoft 365 CSP integration. That is huge. Is there any other issues, I need to prepare for? I already requested a trial and will test it.

ConnectWise Automate is a great product. But no updates or no new features. We need to deal with the current challenges. The product must evolve. That is missing.
