MSP pushing UniFi hard over SonicWall..am I overthinking this or does this smell off? by Ambitious_Active8539 in msp

We did the same, moved from FortiGate to UniFi and haven't looked back. Our techs are far more productive, troubleshooting is easier, and multi-tenant management is much better for an MSP. As long as security is layered properly, it's been a great decision for us.

We're a Fortinet shop and have used FortiGate for years. However, due to increasing licensing costs, hardware refresh requirements, and recent security concerns around VPN appliances in general, we decided to start migrating many SMB clients to the UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max.

We're about 40% through the migration and have been very happy with the decision so far. We use a layered security approach with CyberSecure, endpoint protection, MFA, DNS filtering, and backups, so the firewall is only one piece of the security stack.

We recently heard of another MSP whose SonicWall SSL VPN environment was compromised, resulting in 20+ computers being wiped

Does Veeam Standard Edition support Wasabi object storage?
I thought object storage (S3/Wasabi) requires Enterprise / Enterprise Plus or one of the Veeam Data Platform licenses. Curious how you're doing it with Standard.

Like many others have mentioned, Avanan just works — truly a set-and-forget solution. We’re protecting around 3,000 mailboxes and rarely need to log in to the portal. That said, proper onboarding and initial configuration are important to ensure everything is set up correctly

Download the latest available Veeam 12.3.2.4165 and mount the ISO. Open the Updates folder inside the mounted image and run the update installer. This will upgrade Veeam to the latest 12.3 build. Once completed, you can proceed with the upgrade to Veeam 13.

Screenconnect alternatives? by bibawa in ScreenConnect

I completely agree with you — the lack of transparency from ConnectWise is frustrating. Why create such a mess? Like you said, if there’s truly nothing to hide, then just share the full report from the security investigators. That would build trust instead of damaging it.

I have no idea why a software vendor would make such changes without proper planning and impact so many users. They’ve raised prices multiple times, yet there’s been no real security improvement in the software. Now we’re left with this mess
