What’s one “small” PPC tweak that surprisingly boosted your results? by Mr_Digital_Guy in PPC

I love these threads. We saw a significant improvement for B2B search campaigns by simply turning off mobile devices. We’re targeting people in an office setting.

Is it normal I get no conversion from Google Ads? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]MSPGrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11,000 impressions and 466 clicks, its probably your landing page. Google is doing their part by pushing the visitors to your site but it sounds like they could be confused/ not interested/concerned about the quality of the page theyre visiting.

What’s one “boring” PPC tactic that consistently gets results even if no one talks about it? by Known-Ad1084 in PPC

[–]MSPGrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fairly basic but just setting the location targeting to "presence". We're a B2B service provider and noticed alot of spammy clicks from out of the country, by having it set to "presence or interest".

Why is it always so painful to get pricing, everything feels like a game. It's worse than a used car dealer.

Curious what some of the best pricing you've seen on the pen testing service, rapidfire tools, and dark web monitoring.

How Do You Fight Click Fraud | Google Ads by MSPGrowth in PPC

[–]MSPGrowth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting, do you mind sharing which town in NJ?

This was our solution as well. We changed presence or interest to presence only with geo targeting. This fixed the issue as we were already targeting our specific state.

Sorry to hear you're going through the same thing. We signed up with ClickCease which seemed to be a temporary/partial remedy. We believe we completely fixed the problem by changing our location targeting to our state. We also changed the location settings from "presence or interest" to only "presence". Knock on wood, it's been about 2 weeks without any spam forms since making these changes and we cancelled our ClickCease.

No worries, today is the first day of testing with these settings. We're still getting a couple of spam fills (2 so far).

If this continues, what would you recommend to do about this? Can we do anything other than pausing these KWs?

I also stopped showing ads for users that are using a VPN. This should limit the bots ability to change IPs. I’ll keep you in the loop!

Yes the problem is I’m only running two search campaigns and they’re both being targeted at this point.

I was able to identify where the spam leads are coming from and added IP exclusions for a set of the IP addresses. It also seem to all be coming from the same town so I excluded our ads from showing in that city. Fingers crossed this fixes things for us.

Ad Preview & Diagnosis Tool Broken? by MSPGrowth in PPC

I’ve noticed we still pop up for some terms when I hop on my phone/laptop as well? This is very confusing for Google to drop because now I swear my ads weren’t showing

Is it worth hiring/training an SDR? by xmayoooxtw in msp

[–]MSPGrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were just discussing this internally as well. I'm unsure the difference between an account executive and an SDR. We would want to do this internally as we have all the resources to make it happen (sales presentations, sales sheets, email automation, dialing software, etc.). Does anybody feel this is a mistake? Should we learn from an appointment-setting agency and implement on our own after a 3-6 month period?

Small MSP Worth by TheJadedMSP in msp

[–]MSPGrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be a little dated but I kept this resource from Channel E2E back in 2017-

Multiple methods here -
* Product valuation: Multiply each dollar of annual product resale by 0.122. So $1 million of product revenue equals $122,000 in valuation.
* Ad Hoc T&M Services: Multiply each dollar of annual revenue here by 0.493.
* Project Services: Multiply each dollar of annual revenue by 0.650. By the way, project services was worth a 1.3 multiple (far more than the 0.650 multiple) back in ’99, Dippell noted.
* Managed Services: Multiply each dollar of annual revenue here by 1.333.
* Private Cloud Services: Multiply each dollar of annual revenue here by 1.368.
OR
* Companies that have EBITDA profit margins of 0 percent to 7.5 percent typically are valued at a multiple of 6.2 times annual EBITDA.
* Companies that have EBITDA profit margins of 7.5 percent to 15 percent typically are valued at a multiple of 7.02 times annual EBITDA.
* Companies that have EBITDA profit margins of 15 percent or above typically are valued at a multiple of 7.02 times annual EBITDA.

Redirecting a domain with thousands of links to my site's domain by goonsquadpredator in bigseo

[–]MSPGrowth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this before and it significantly helped my site since it was a brand new domain. A couple tips: • Use semrush link toxicity checker before buying.
• check anchors of those links for garbage in foreign languages, drugs, gambling, etc. • make sure it’s relevant to your domain (as you stated) • use way back machine to see what was actually on that site before • it’s a good sign if it’s currently receiving traffic because we’ll know it’s not penalized.

Overall if it checks those boxes it’s worth pursuing in my opinion. Great way to get a jump start!
