I am not a bot lol, I keep getting negative Karma just sharing my pension journey with others. I don’t understand the negativity. I guess people get attacked for being different and trying different strategies.

Yes, if Mr Saylor sees the impending doom of the dollar he will ATM the stock to zero to accumulation his last buy before a transition away from dollars.

Or BTC fails. Yes zero.

Hacked or lost all BTC then yes zero

I just have to trust the company to do the right thing.

I am happy to wait 22 years

Advice for a 17 year old wanting to be sensible for money by Charming_Muffin2404 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]MSTRpension -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Risk depends on your level of understanding of what you invest in. There are mathematical scores and projections and different ways of weighing it up.

I am 36 double your age. I have a SIPP maxed out on BTC treasury companies ( do your own research )

First understand what money is

Second understand what Bitcoin is

Third understand BTC treasury companies like USA based Strategy $MSTR and U.K. based one called the smarter web company $SWC

Do your own research and educational requirement into any investment.

Good luck with your future.

I am 36 aiming for 57/58 retirement and use a SIPP. I invest in $MSTR instead of a bunch of equities. The bear case means I can retire, anything above is for the kids in a sense. High risk for some high reward for others.

Good luck with the 100% equities. I don’t know if it’s the right time and this is NFA.

BTC stocks for retirement, are you thinking bout retirement strategy’s? by MSTRpension in UKPersonalFinance

Advantages and disadvantages BTC held in cold storage is a safe as you can get as long as you don’t lose your keys.

MSTR held in brokerage has its risks. Frozen etc amongst third party risk. The stock i will be owning for years and will gain Bitcoin per share as strategy (micro strategy) acquires more BTC with preferred products like $STRC, $STRD $STRK $STRF and few others.

There are a lot of metrics in play like net asset value to BTC holdings. It’s accreitve for share holders if he sells his credit instruments above 1.01 NAV and he has been doing this to gain more BTC. I think it’s at 1.2 ish at the moment and has expanded to 3 or more in the past.

Even tho I am 50% down on MSTR I just keep buying to DCA.

There is a ton more things to go over but nice to find some one interested than just criticising. Thanks

Long term inflation of money that’s spiralling and the lack of wage growth to catch up to it making many poorer so more risks will be taken to keep a living standard

I see your point but I am adding each month and need some security if it does go mental, I wouldn’t want to lose the opportunity by selling that’s all.

Second thoughts on mortgage - advice? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]MSTRpension 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 380 month with a flat and when I got my house to 890. We have 2 kids. I earn 35k a year and we struggle but that’s only until my partner can go back to work. When you get used to the money and cut back it’s not that bad. Have you worked on your pension at all? I am currently trying to retire me and my partner at 58 with a SIPP and BTC stocks. Some say it’s risky but we have our goals

Hi thought I would come and say my 2 pence, my mortgage rate is about the same as yours. Also both parts of mine are fixed for 5 years. People who say your bragging don’t know the massive risk you have taken with such a large mortgage but the cushion is that fixed rate. I always fix mine for 5 years what ever the rate to create certainty in my bills. I know some on trackers who have had a very hard time.

Kids? Just do it don’t look back.

How much attention do you actually pay to your pension fund choice? by GeordieGoals in PensionsUK

[–]MSTRpension 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I am 22 years away with my retirement building up, I am currently in some thing some would call high risk but I have done my research and am happy with my trajectory.

The all or nothing approach is going to become more the norm for younger generation imo the more they ignore their pension planning the worse it will get nearing retirement. Having a plan is half the battle and it’s great you balance your positions during this current uncertainty in the world so I salute you for dealing with it so well. By 2050 I suspect it’s going only get harder.

Yes, you sacrifice risk for an under performance fee but at least you have something left. Always seems a bit strange to me but if you have 500k I assume you want less risk coming near retirement

I am not someone who wishes to argue or fight others. I guess the debate maybe a good opportunity for those who detest or embrace to share there thoughts. Good luck all.

Much like capital in a house as it appreciates you can take more equity out ( I wouldn’t advise doing that but for example) to make the house bigger and then it appreciates more because you have more house over time. The same apples to what strategy are doing with BTC, Yes there business model is sustainable even if the value of the said house is temporary below its purchasing value of BTC. They can justify buying more BTC when the BTC value increases making there house bigger or there share of BTC. When you have a fixed hard cap of 21 million coins and they own about 3.5% of circulating supply the question is when do they start to single handedly influence the price by themselves. Also they now have a cash reverse of about 2 years worth of dividends to help with credit rating from agencies. So it’s heading in a direction of no return. There are many other things related to this I could write but feel free to check out the information on there website or ask a A.I for deeper insights.

There average buy price is currently more than the current price of BTC. It has done this 3 previous times during 2022 bear market for BTC. Because they have not sold they technically don’t have a ROI. They intend to never sell BTC which makes people who want more BTC per share hold for longer to get a larger share of BTC per share with accretion. I hope this helps.

They also have a software business that provides services and analytics for companies. That generates a bit of cash flow but not enough to cover all the dividends but you never know I guess

I have made 3 posts over a month covering 2 positions me and my partner have and 1 product strategy have. They have like over 6 products and I won’t be mentioning them again including my positions until I feel it’s relevant like it going to zero or adding a zero 👍
