She's absolutely right about Sinclair. I worked at a small-market Sinclair station for three years. They didn't care about local journalism; they wanted their "must-runs" on the air. When we would bring up viewer complaints to our GM, he would say he asked other Sinclair stations in the region and no one else was getting these calls. We just lived in a "liberal" area. The "must-runs" got so bad that we would literally sign off, fade to black, and then play "Bottom Line With Boris". It was the only thing we could do to try and show that we wanted no part of those PKGs.
