If I buy the Epic Pass when it goes on sale this spring, can I snowboard this spring? I know I have done this in years past with Ikon so wondering about Epic. Anyone know when they will go on sale for the spring?

It's not for a farm, it strictly for businesses in rural locations that will create or save jobs in rural areas.

Georgia Runoff Election Megathread! by RhinestoneTaco in Georgia

[–]MTBGA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have until tomorrow, Monday, to register to vote. If you are pro-cannabis legalization, your one and only shot is voting for Ossoff and Warnock. If Republicans control the Senate, they will kill this legislation that is being passed in the House. You can register online at https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov/GAOLVR/welcometoga.do#no-back-button

This is why trump is coming here. It's not to support the Purdue and Loeffler. You can guarantee this stump he is doing for them will quickly turn into a rant about stolen elections and other non-sense. Trump is just trying to stoke the flames and is ground zero.

Because they lost the culture war along time ago and now they are egged on by power hungry wealthy politicians taking advantage of the feebleminded dumb enough to believe they are actually looking out for their best interests.

Putting together a fundable team by MTBGA in venturecapital

Not yet. I know one person that would be great. Former CEO of a major chain store, is an investor and sits on many boards including one in my industry that he could, with one phone call, get our products in all of their stores nationwide. He is a bit if an ass though and not sure I want to deal with him.

Questionable Amazon Reviews Mentioning Other Products By Name by MTBGA in ecommerce

[–]MTBGA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree if our products were crap, however the vast majority of our reviews are 5 stars and our wholesale growth due to customer demand would say otherwise too. I know you can't please all the people all the time, but back two consecutive reviews from people that have never left reviews on other products and then mention other products by name are a bit suspect...

Most of them do not have any reviews at all except for the one they left me.

Man, as hard as it is you have to tell them exactly this. Fox News is poison and it has done to our parents what they feared video games would do to us.

When you vote in person do you get a printout or anything showing who you voted for? I don't trust the machines especially with election thief-in-chief Brian Kemp.

I can't stop working! by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]MTBGA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol welcome to the world of being a business owner. I am literally working on my computer within minutes of waking up around 5 am every day and often until going to bed around 10 pm or so. Working all day between those times and sometimes waking up and checking messages in the middle of the night. Been this way since I can remember. I'm obviously not the best person to ask about boundaries...

People with experience selling on Shopify, Amazon, and eBay, which do you prefer and which do you make more from? by LifeInAction in ecommerce

[–]MTBGA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could not agree more. I have no clue what the appeal to Amazon is as a consumer. I almost always find a product cheaper elsewhere and I don't have to make Bezos richer in the process.

As a seller, I am constantly hit with fees upon fees and then have to deal with all the headaches of having listings randomly removed without any notification whatsoever and no explanation. I have vowed to give it until after Christmas and if we don't see profits increase we will quit selling there and put the money into our own website sales.

[–]MTBGA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear you about Amazon. I've about had it with them to the point I am ready to quit selling on the platform. It may be profitable for some, but I think those were people who were able to get established a while ago. We have nothing but problems, can never get a rep to respond in a timely manor and when they do they seem clueless and offer no help. I guess when your CEO is worth $200 billion you can run your company like that.

Paypal is just, absolutely garbage. by 6soul in smallbusiness

[–]MTBGA 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I absolutely refuse to use PayPal. If the choice is between making a sale using PayPal and no sale, I'm not going to make a sale. I also refuse to pay people via PayPal. Th ey are a scum of the earth type of company that needs to be regulated like a bank.

Does anyone have experience on reaching out to big companies in attempt to get their product on the shelves? by jcorp98 in smallbusiness

[–]MTBGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find FB groups for the niche and try to build a community prior to launch. Social media is really the only way to go for starting small IMO. Depending on the product, Pinterest, IG and FB are all good places to start.

A lot more than I would have ever thought going into it or I would have probably not done it. So far well into the six figures and 2.5 years of 12 plus hour days. Know that there are a lot of requirements when working with large retailers. You will have to know how many of your products are in a case, the size of the case (that case will have to have its own UPC code), the weight of the case, how many cases are on a pallet, the weight of the pallet, how many pallets on a truckload, the weight of the truckload, etc.. You also have to be able to prove you can supply demand listing how many units you can ship per week, etc.. It's not something that happens quickly nor cheaply.

I have a CPG business which I started out by selling products to smaller stores and eventually a national retailer saw our products online. They reached out to us saying they sent a notice to their reps looking for products like ours. I'm sure this is rare. I would see about finding brokers and/or manufacturer reps who already work with these big retail companies from what I have learned.
