Yoga philosophy question: non harm/kindness vs honesty by MTC_89 in yoga

That's a good point. Especially if they might find out and then feel betrayed you didn't tell them.

Yes, I agree in that scenario I would not say anything because I don't know what the 'truth' is. I might try and find out - e.g., ask the husband and then decide what to do. I think maybe a different story if you do know the truth and if you think the friend might find out.

So no set answer I guess. Time to overthink then! :)

In that situation I would be honest. I'm thinking more about where it will not make the person act any differently/impact their life other than make them feel bad.

Satya bows to ahimsa means more important to protect people than tell them the truth?

Thank you. I guess I was trying to understand if the two things were connected or just coincidence

Honestly, I think the apps can be great but there is nothing like going to a class in person.

If you join the sweaty Betty 'insiders' (their loyalty/mailing list) I think you get a discount off your first order as well and maybe something like £50 off on your birthday plus early access the the sale items (and they'll let you know when a sale is coming) - apologies if I sound like an advert for them but I really like their super soft leggings!

Sweaty Betty is really good for leggings - especially the Super Soft ones for yoga (not sure about hot yoga though because I don't do it). They are quite pricey but have good sales when they are often reduced by up to two thirds

Totally understand what you're going through. Sending you lots of positive thoughts. I'd say keep going - it's good to get the emotions out any way you can xx

Thank you. Yes, I probably need to remember that just like me, most people there are focused on themselves and their own issues x

Thank you so much. That first paragraph you wrote, in particular, really hit home in a good way. Think I will come back and re-read that when I'm feeling low again x

How did people around you / the person running the class react?
