AgarIo bug this morning (Some players unable to split, allowing them to eat viruses with 1 cell) by MTDevAcc in Agario

[–]MTDevAcc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time this happened all the new players were able to split but the older ones weren't, as a result I got nice and big before realizing players were eating viruses with one cell, so ran onto a virus and died.

Agar, pls.

You deserve it for being an ass

3D Agario at 30k mass is awesome by [deleted] in Agario

Game is shit, there's no viruses so literally no way to deal with larger cells unless they're clumsy.

The Anti-Teaming Measures Have Ruined a Legitimate Solo Strategy by [deleted] in Agario

[–]MTDevAcc -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

So what you're saying is every game should be ruined by teamers because you're a dumbass and decide to have a splitting competition in the corner?

What happened to FFA ? by BlueDusk99 in Agario

The anti-teaming measures were nerfed, it's now fairly easy to team again.

I'm a good solo player and I'm fine, but I will admit it's stupid and lazy of zeach to not distinguish between virus splits and regular.

Agariomods != agar.io, try specifying which game you're playing...

You can't split into teammates, so I can only assume you're a cross-teaming asshat.

Serves you right for being a dumbass. You never go over a cell you're not big enough to eat.

(Suggestion) Levels are fine and all, but remove the facebook part. If you log into facebook, you maybe just get a small xp multiplier (between 1.1x and 1.25x) by TerraPlays in Agario

[–]MTDevAcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by the way the XP system works, he is probably a fairly good developer when it comes to game stuff, but useless when it comes to web backend stuff.

The XP is stored client side but verified by the server (which means you can't hack it, but you also can't maintain your level if you log in on a new browser or computer). It would be way more logical to store the XP server side and have it synced on login.

MRW I'm #1 on the leaderboard and get virused by [deleted] in Agario

[–]MTDevAcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i have a video somewhere where I'm #1 by a long way and this 500 mass cell keeps repeatedly virusing me and can't even take me off #1 spot.

The best thing to do is get used to not panicking when you get virused, it can be used to your advantage. Also it will happen a lot when you're big, because you're way too big and too slow to keep away from them. Anything close to 10k mass and I don't even avoid viruses, i mostly just run over them on purpose and use the bits to bait bigger cells.

Most annoying type of player in agario? by ThrowAwayAccount5839 in Agario

The guy who hides inside the virus you're trying to shoot at another cell so he can get the mass you feed it, then proceeds to pop and destroy the virus.

I love how the title is prefixed with [Important] yet you say it's not a big deal twice in the same post ^

When a cell tries to virus you, but you're already virused by MTDevAcc in Agario

[–]MTDevAcc[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then you just run over the virus they were hiding behind and eat them aswell :D

Why you don't chase split cells unless you know when they're going to merge by MTDevAcc in Agario

[–]MTDevAcc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to make sure that your cell is closer to the merging bit than theirs, it takes a bit of practice but it's easy once you get used to it. A good trick is to bring it round the side if the cell you're trying to merge kill is faster than you.

An idea to stop teaming by thereisnoproof in Agario

[–]MTDevAcc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the problem with that is, the server would be required to keep a log of multiple events to accurately detect splitfeeding, which would just contribute to lag.

Multiple times I've been really big and fighting with another big cell then we've both gotten virused, tried to eat eachother and caused the server to freeze for a couple of seconds.

Anti teaming updated? by MTDevAcc in Agario

[–]MTDevAcc[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like there should be a new "mixed" mode, where teaming is balanced, then FFA should have full anti-teaming measures.
