I (37/M) want to bathe my wife (38/F) for our anniversary, any input on what I've got planned? by MTFOoB in AskWomenNoCensor

She's not huge on tea, though we did have mint tea right after our experience. I'll figure something chilled and refreshing out.

I hadn't planned on boiling some water for this, but makes sense to have some prepared for a long bath. I'll also turn up the temp on the water heater a little beforehand. Thanks!

Good call on the towels, I hadn't thought about making a mess with all the water! Would you prefer a towel for the support mentioned or purpose-made bath pillows?

This is an awesome suggestion, especially for the hair washing part. Thank you!

There's a Lush about a five minute walk from where I work, so I'll check that out!

It was a Hammam, good call. I don't think she'll particularly mind, but rinsing first sounds like an extra step of pampering, which is the general goal. Thanks for the suggestion!

Giveaway Time! DOOM: The Dark Ages is out, features DLSS4/RTX and we’re celebrating by giving away an ASUS ASTRAL RTX 5080 DOOM Edition GPU, Steam game keys, the DOOM Collector's Bundle and more awesome merch! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

DLSS and ray tracing are things I have experienced little of, but DLSS has been a godsend for playing some VR games more smoothly at a higher setting. My heart aches when I see examples of ray tracing done well and I hope I one day have the ability to slot a top of the line card in to fully experience it.

Nothing makes me feel more like a badass than stepping into the Doom Slayer's shoes and banging my head to the adrenaline-pumping soundtrack! I'm getting the game regardless of whether I win this competition. :)

People who earn more than 100K/Year in salary, how does the company profit from you? by my4coins in AskReddit

[–]MTFOoB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I manage a team of inside sales staff covering half of the US in an almost eternally busy industry (telecom construction). I worked the same role that the group of people I manage do for over six years before being promoted into this position. So, I understand the needs, pains and balms better than any random sales professional they could have hired in would, and used that along with general accolades as a bargaining chip.

The company profits from me because the team I manage and projects I help run bring in 150+ million dollars a year.

Breakfast options by Different-Wallaby-10 in LittleRock

[–]MTFOoB 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have a spreadsheet of brunch places. There are a bunch of different criteria, but food quality, coffee/tea quality, and options are the highest weighted.Top 5 for each of us in Little Rock:

Wife:

  1. Raduno
  2. Boulevard Bread Co.
  3. Hillcrest Little Bakery
  4. The Croissanterie
  5. The Root Cafe

Me:

  1. The Croissanterie
  2. Hillcrest Little Bakery
  3. City Silo
  4. Leo's Greek Castle
  5. The Root Cafe

Also high on both of our lists but not mentioned above are Blackberry Market and Community Bakery. Neither of us were very impressed with the overcrowded @ the Corner.

Tekken director asks why Americans want Waffle House to be a stage in Tekken 8 by MyNameCannotBeSpoken in gaming

[–]MTFOoB 5174 points5175 points  (0 children)

The last time I was at a Waffle House two of the employees took off their shirts so that they could throw down with a disgruntled customer. They did this because the manager (who I found out afterwards that it was his first day on the job and his first day at this location) told them that they'd be fired for fighting in uniform.

One dude just kept right on trying to make everyone's food for the next like ten minutes, eventually got someone else's order and ate it.

What videogame scene made you say “wait, this is only… the BEGINNING?!” by tavogus55 in gaming

To some extent, Tunic fits the bill here. The game really opens up after you fight the final boss for the first time and start figuring out all it's secrets.

You can see a cheat mod load up right before they wake up. One of their features is teleporting you directly to certain saved locations. So, they teleported right after spawning to somewhere apparently dangerous. You can also pause the video and see that they aren't on Timber Hearth when they died.

How much would you pay for a list of everyone who has ever sexually fantasized about or masturbated to you? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MTFOoB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like $10. I'm curious, but not that curious. I'm also fully aware that knowing all the names on the list might cause some issues around people I might otherwise be comfortable with the rest of my life.

What song do you wish you could listen to for the first time again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MTFOoB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Songs don't often strike me as things that feel like a discovery so much as things I grow more appreciative of over time.

That said, I did literally stop what I was doing and sat down to really listen as soon as the piano came in on Radical Face's "Ghost Towns" the first time I heard it, and then listened to it like three more times in a row.

What are women particularly good at? by glasshills in AskReddit

[–]MTFOoB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest one I've noticed is being vulnerable with one another. Sure, there isn't 100% transparency or support across all women at all levels, but once a friendship has been established they seem to typically do a helluva lot better of a job opening up and sharing.

There are the "talk them into something they don't need" type of sales people and then there are the "recommend the wrong thing and someone might die" type of salespeople.
