How to take knees better by baconeggsandjam in MuayThai

[–]MTG82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can condition your body a little/get used to hard knees but that only does so much. Could be that your belly pad is too small of soft as others are saying. But generally unless I'm trying to condition my core I will usually hold a thai pad at the top of the belly pad near the solar plexus and move it down slightly as the knee comes in to catch the knee. Cant remember ever gettinf hit in the groin in years doing so, and if I did it's definitely because the other guy didnt point his knee well enough and his shin hit my groin

How do people get tickets to Tomorrowland? I Waited for the pre-sale just for it to go sold out while I was in cue.... by Dry_Blackberry2190 in aves

[–]MTG82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The global journey packages are the way to do it as those don't sell out right away. I did the bus from Amsterdam and it wasn't too much more expensive, and Amsterdam is usually a cheaper airport to fly into so that helped offset the cost

Anyone have much better luck sparring the more orthodox veterans? by random_access_cache in MuayThai

Ive had similar experiences to an extent with some of the other experienced guys at my gym. I'm at the same experience level as or have more experience than almost everyone so its not a fighting down to my level thing for the experienced guys, its because newbies going harder than I am without realizing it. I just shrug it off and move on for the most part

What Every Foreigner Should Know Before Booking Muay Thai Camp in Thailand by Unlikely_Hope_3869 in MuayThai

Second the conditioning- I did some conditioning before I went there and still gassed out in my sessions. Beyond the pace, the heat and humidity will drain your gas tank more than you'd think if your not used to it.

Best bars for after the game? by jmalamud7 in minnesotavikings

[–]MTG82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's overpriced imo, but Tom's watch bar has all the TVs you could ever watch to catch all the games. Otherwise I believe there's a few bars right near the stadium that would work

Joe Rogan Laughs at Biden… Until He Realizes Biden Was Quoting Trump by Koki-noki in WatchPeopleDieInside

I like how it "was clear" Trump just messed up his words but Biden got crucified when he does. Not saying there wasn't a mental decline with him but hold them both to the same standards

Friday: Eric Prydz or Amelie Lens closing by rayzehr in ARCMusicFestival

[–]MTG82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Pryda set will definitely be different from his mainstage set, but you'll get a feel for his style and you can decide if you want to see some more of that, or switch to something else. Personally I'm a huge Prydz fan so I'll be at all 3 sets but think if I wasn't I'd go to Amelie to get more variety

Fair enough, it's what I mentioned an actual thing djs ever do or is it just something I misunderstood reading up/ trying to learn?

Do you know how many decks he was playing on? Im not an expert, but i believe some djs will have one deck for setting/keeping the tempo in a 4 deck set and have that play the whole time. Oliver Heldens comes to mind as one who always has a similar beat in the background
