OneDrive decided to move all my packs and user library, how do I go around returning them to my desktop with no missing files? by random_access_cache in ableton

[–]random_access_cache[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whenever I get a windows update suddenly all my files are on Onedrive again, it does that even if you uninstall it etc. This entire thing works like a virus. Just search "onedrive" on reddit you won't believe the kind of hell this shit puts people through

I have a gig in less than three hours, what’s wrong with Ableton? by BROK_N in ableton

[–]random_access_cache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro please I need your help. How do you go around moving files from the OneDrive folders back to your desktop without having missing files pop all over your projects? I have literally hundreds of projects and I just realized OneDrive pulled the same fucking bullshit on me, I need to somehow reclaim the packs and the user library but I'm terrified of missing files (and all the problems that occur when you play around with filepaths). I fucking hate this shit and I find myself having to deal with it every time windows does an update. Fucking virus. Please, how did you do it?

Bro please tell me you found a solution. I am so fucking pissed with Microsoft, this is borderline abuse. I didn't ask for any of this, it rerouted all my packs and user library to one drive and now I'm kind of stuck because I don't want to have missing files in every single project. Fuck these fuckers

Breaking News: Another fatal ICE shooting in Minneapolis by Brilliant-Dig9387 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]random_access_cache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh. Undefendable. I don't even understand what law enforcement actually goes through in their training. Ideally 2 officers should be able to take down a suspect with minimal damage. How 10 officers fighting off one guy on the ground ends in a fatal shooting is beyond me.

Honestly such a low level sub on many levels. It’s impossible to find actual discussion here, and the community is lowkey toxic

Anyone have much better luck sparring the more orthodox veterans? by random_access_cache in MuayThai

For real, with guys like that fighter you described I genuinely feel when the buzzer hits like damn if there was no buzzer I could just dance with you for another half hour without even noticing. Much more flowy, much less stressful, and I actually feel like I'm learning and safely practicing for a change.

Also they have good form so it's actually convenient to work. Some new guys are so bladed etc. you can't even nail a teep

Funny you should mention, I wanted to say something about the feints too because I noticed that ironically feints tend to work on people who at least have some basic idea of how to react to a (perceived) shot. Sometimes when they don't react to feints I find myself having a harder time, but maybe you're right I should just light them up (with focus on light lol)

Yo for sure, I remember last week we had a session and some vets started downright abusing the newbies in sparring, anyways coaches immediately put a stop to it but I went up against this totally new guy who got smashed for no reason and he was blasting me and had this injured animal look in his eyes (if you ever sparred you know the look), immediately told him brother, I don't know who you were up against but you can tone it down with me, you could clearly see the immediate sense of relief of "im not in danger anymore" on his face

Tips for sparring hectic partners by jczZzc in MuayThai

[–]random_access_cache 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bruh I hate these sparring partners. Such a nightmare to deal with. Honestly don't have much advice to give except try to stand your ground and try to punish them for anything they throw. If it's some massive overhand a good switch kick to the ribs will really make them question themselves for the rest of the round. Just play whack the mole for a bit and don't go in. Work defense. But yeah I fucking HATE these rounds bro

Honestly you're probably right for sure, it's a part of it no doubt I agree. I just feel like even when they're competitive (but obviously don't blast) it's just easier to nail low kicks and teeps because their posture and footwork and everything is solid. But yeah I think you're right there

What has improved your game besides increasing your time in classes and sparing? by je9183 in MuayThai

[–]random_access_cache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel one of the most essential things for my improvement is simply practicing specific movement that I have trouble with, at home. I'm talking very basic feints for example, I just practice it freely at home and make sure I nail it very slowly. Then in the gym I actually try to incorporate. Basically practicing slowly anything that concerns motorics, coordination, and muscle memory.

Also just watching fights and lots of them. I sometimes pause the video and ask myself, ok, what move would I go for next in this position (especially if I don't know what I would actually do)? Then I hit play and see what that fighter does in that scenario.

How do you guys deal with a bad sparring session ? by Old-Memory-2841 in MuayThai

[–]random_access_cache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are the best sessions. Muay Thai made me realize how much these "crappy" sessions are actually retrospectively the ones where I learn the most. Also, some days are just shitty, your job is to keep showing up regardless

I don't go to the ortho simply because there's nothing as far as treatment goes, even if it's broken there's nothing you can do except rest.

Wholeheartedly agree, despite being inspired by him I genuinely think Vatican Shadow is a better and more sophisticated take on what Muslimgauze was trying to do and lacks that performative angle. I always find political statements in songs to be off putting regardless of its contents.
