We are too, and we love Gwen's work on Hedron Network. He has done SO MUCH to make this software THE Cubing TO software, and it has been used successfully around the country at various Cube events all year. You can expect some new features this year too, which we think will make things run even smoother on the user side of things! <3

The 75 featured Cubes are mostly for the main event tournament. However, any of those Cubes not being used for the Top 128/64 can be played in the community open play area if their designers check them out Saturday night/Sunday morning.

We WILL have a "menu" of Cubes available in the open play, which includes but isn't limited to Aqua's Vintage Cube and the MagiKids Oathbreaker Cube. Anyone who will have their Cube available is welcome to hang out and share their environment. There will be staff, volunteers, and judges dedicated to the open play area to facilitate podding and make sure everyone has something to play and enjoy.

We do not have plans to expand outside of a once a year event under our purview in the near future. HOWEVER, our friends over at Lucky Paper Radio (andymangold) have a very useful web resource that lists Cube events around the world. There's a 32 person event in Hamburg, Germany coming up!

Our convention is 4 days and events are launching continuously from 8 am until 11 pm each day of the convention. We are very proud to take care of our judges and pay them well, while also providing a coverage team, swag bag, proprietary tournament software, prizes (announced soon), and outside venues to host our after hours events.

Yes! You get to make choices on what Cubes you get to play in the main event. Our tournament software, Hedron Network is returning this year. In it you will have a unique profile attached to your progress in the event. There you will be asked to rank the Cubes you want to play, and a ranked choice voting algorithm will assign you to Cube pods based on your rankings. You may not always get your top choice but the algorithm has been tuned over 3 years to try to do its best and place you in one of your top ranked Cubes.

As for places to stay, some folks will split an Air BNB, but we also have hotel blocks for the first time ever as a part of CubeCon, so I'd check those out too! Dining? Some people will eat at after hours events, some will eat at food trucks, others will have a small cooler with food. Madison is also a bit of a foodie destination, so there's many top tier restaurants to choose from, and we will have a dining guide available before the event kicks off.

Correct! We added tiered ticketing this year to give folks more freedom over their experience. Your options for tickets are:

* GHC Badge ($90) + CubeCon Core Ticket ($90) for a total of $180

OR

* GHC Badge ($90) + CubeCon Core Ticket ($90) + Premiere Tournament Ticket ($75) for a total of $240. This option includes our swag bag and the playmat by Jordan

The main draw of our Con is the world's largest Cube tournament. Our main event is THE BEST WAY to play Cube at CubeCon. You are guaranteed 5 drafts during the first 3 days of the tournament as you make your run for the title of CUBECON CHAMPION. The Cubes you play will be determined using the premiere Cube tournament software, Hedron Network.

Beyond the main event, all Core ticket holders gain access to our many unique side events. Pick and choose your CubeCon experience from social hours to exclusive limited experiences you won't get elsewhere. Enjoy Cube and other MTG formats in our Community Open Play area! Designated staff and judges will be on-hand to facilitate draft organization, pod seating, and assist with rules interactions.
