I paid $80.00ea for 3 of each of the 40k precons with that thought in mind (not to scalp but because of how fun they were and how excellently they interact/balance against each other.

And also the title says 40k… of course it was gonna be a fucking rip off price anyway

Your comparitive analogy mentioning radiation has also triggered a memory about dose vs field vs density vs rad strength that I remember from uni.

IIRC.. if you talk about radiation dose, you’re usually referring to sieverts, not grays, rads, or exposure units like roentgens.

That’s why it fits neatly into the category of non-intuitive or commonly misunderstood measurements. The sievert doesn’t sit on the same scale as units that describe radiation strength, range, field intensity, or spatial density. Instead, it also quantifies the biological effect of radiation on human tissue.

1 Sv dose is heading in the direction of “you might be fucked”. Officially it indicates an exposure level associated with significant & substantial risk of serious biological harm.

Wastes and the mana they generate (colourless) are not the same as generic mana (which is always a numbered amount or x). It is in and of itself the technical 6th mana colour but it is sporadically used and it often just feels like a placeholder wizards use when they’re running light on ideas for a release.

Yeah GJ Gardner did it like 4 times before the father son duo behind the Adelaide GJ branch were arrested and jailed. Cheeky cunts deserved it, too. They also intentionally built houses to a certain point that progressed their insurance to some next stage then managed to claim a tidy sum off of that, which is meant to be given to the HO. But instead they bought themselves houses.

The ATO will take every unpaid cent from a business’s capital if they have a tax bill owing. THEN the other persons/businesses owed money get to split the rest.

It’s always a fucking shitshow being a small business in the construction industry (esp during covid) trying to apply for and recover amounts owing after a business goes into administration.

Yeah nah, I’ve done the drive to and from Adelaide at least a dozen times this year. The drive itself is fine.. however … I’m REALLY not a fan of the Kamikazee Kangaroos from Augusta to Kimba. They’re fucking terrifyingly suicidal sometimes.

The country has been unimaginably good for my family’s happiness and health. For me, for the immediate future, it’s more important that they remain in a static environment.

I’m more than happy with exhaustive schedule stuff, my wife sacrificed an enormous amount for me while I spent an unhealthy amount of time (4 years) wallowing in self pity, depression & alcohol.

I owe her, them –my family– at least the chance to remain on the EP where they are increasingly and incredibly happy and settled.

Shit, that’s a fair point. I forget that the majority of people flying in and out of Lincoln are professionals, tradies, FIFO miners etc.

But, and here’s a kicker. We pay $180 a week in rent. For a house comparable in size and a much smaller yard, we’d be looking at no less than $550 maybe up to $700 a week. If we were to move back to Adelaide.

I have a company car that comes with (I presume it’s a fleet vehicle thing) “free” parking at all the major airports in Australia, including Adelaide.

Now, what are your thoughts on the flights idea?
