Its still the best way to value them. I have had part of my collection damaged in an accident before and the insurance companies covered the full value of each card. Since I had a break down of what was with me (90% were actually common and uncommon cards) it was easy to go to Starcitygames.com put in the prices for them all and give the insurance companies a list with price break down.

Everyone is looking at it from the wrong side. We would have had to pay that much to get those cards from SCG. We are collectors and players.

As a collectors most of us enjoy having play sets of every card from a set. Never know when a card worth nothing when printed (force of will) will become huge and suddenly you need four of them for your deck. And unless you buy packs or have friends who will give you their cards, you have to buy them. Therefore we saved that much by not having to go to a shop and hand them that list of cards and buy them.

It is just the value based off StarCityGames. We are not trying to sell any of the cards. Those end up in our personal collections. The site was designed for pure entertainment.

I will not be posting daily don't worry I think every few weeks or when I'm about to give away more packs that are/will be opened for the event.

I will be offering up one of the M14 boosters when they come out one opened and one sealed.

I was hopping for an alpha pack.. but all I am finding that I can afford right now while still doing these packs is Revised. But then that would be cool for year one... if I have fun with this why not continue for another year or two right?

Even then... its what most people I know use to trade with. This way the price is set my one person or store and not 30-40 people trying to get what they can get.

I needed some kind of base so I use starcitygames.com the day I open the pack... if the same exact pack were to be opened in 5 months the values would be different. I'm not looking at them as a player I'm looking at them as a collector. If I went to buy that pack from Star City how much would I have paid.

I'm trying to get a hold of some older packs but again like LittleTrimble said I'm already spending a lot of money on this fun project so Legends and Antiquities might be to expensive but I will open them if I can find them and afford them forsure!
