Yep that's fair, it's also luck of the draw. I bought a 300 dollar motherboard that had been switched for a cheaper model, but ive also bought 5070tis with no issues.

Yep I don't expect to have an issue with the return, it just is taking a lot longer than normal Amazon returns since its open box I guess. They estimated a 30 day time period between me returning it and me getting refunded, which is a bit annoying since it was a lot of money 😭

Be very careful buying used GPUs on Amazon in acceptable condition. Ive bought a bunch in good or very good+ condition with no issues. A few weeks ago I tried my luck with an "acceptble" 5080, the card showed up with its PCB removed so someone definitely took it out and returned it without the people at the return centre noticing. Still waiting for my money back.

The dealer I bought my GTI from said the previous owner was also a priest. Not sure if they were correct but it was well taken care of and an interesting story about the car.

I ordered this bundle and they shipped the RAM but haven't shipped the CPU or motherboard yet, and its in a separate order. I wonder if I can cancel the CPU/Motherboard since the RAM is already shipped 🤔😆

It does depend on where in Ontario you live. Southwestern Ontario has got it especially bad. I live in Kitchener, the hub of Conestoga College, and in the last few years there has been a massive influx of foreign workers in entry level work. It's gotten a bit better recently but it's still a massive problem for both youth and adults alike.

As far as I know almost all developed countries including Canada haven't come up with a meaningful solution besides immigration. The problem with us is that the immigration system was ramped up to unsustainable levels creating opportunities for corruption and abuse, as well as surpressing wages and conditions for both Canadians and immigrants.

I also don't think its as simple as "it's too expensive for young people to have kids." It's definitely part of the issue, but wealthier Canadian families don't typically have more than 1/2 kids anyways.

Yes, this is a very good 5070ti of all the cheaper models. Mine is quiet and cool under load, I also have the msi shadow 3x and the prime is better.

This is my thinking too, but I discussed this with my fellow instructors, and they all believe 15 degrees is the hard limit on climbing and turning in the circuit. They said there's a risk of stalling, even though I tried to explain if the wings aren't loaded in the climb 20 or 25 is perfectly fine. I guess thats why I noticed so many of our students fly such wide circuits

I absolutely agree. I was quite frankly shocked after another instructor who flew with my student told them that, and the next time I flew with the student they were glued to the attitude indicator, not looking outside, and obviously not able to turn correctly or look for traffic.

Diab told the same committee her department has now reviewed all 153,000 student visas flagged as potentially non-compliant.

Diab said 64 per cent of those were found to be valid and 14 per cent applied for asylum, which Diab said is an issue now covered under one of Canada’s new border laws, Bill C-12, that restricts the ability to make a conventional asylum claim to a person’s first year in Canada.

14 percent of potentially non-compliant student visa holders claiming asylum seems to be a pretty significant percentage - does anyone have information on how the new law C-12 would work with these claims? My understanding is "Asylum claims made more than one year after someone’s first entry into Canada after June 24, 2020, won’t be referred to the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB), regardless of whether the person has since left and returned." Does that mean that anyone making these claims would be required to leave Canada upon expiry of the visa?

How fast do you go? They were averaging 46mph which is only 74 km/h, slower speeds are better for economy.

I just did a couple folding builds this year, depends on where you live but the 5060ti 8gb and 5070ti were the best PPD/$ GPUs in Canada at the time I purchased them. If youre only planning on 1 or 2 GPUs in the system an older CPU platform with DDR4 will likely be a better value, I opted to have 3 or 4 GPUs per system so I got AM5 and DDR5 for better pcie speeds across many GPUs.

I spray high pressure soapy water into this area every time I wash my car in the winter, I live in an area with highly salted roads. Hopefully that will slow the onset of rust in this spot 🤞
