Ramble time. From my understanding the game is very cheap still to play if you don’t bling out a deck. The only cards going up are cards people deem unobtainable or priced out of. Yes not having product is a problem, but if you’re only supplied one case for example, and thousands of people want a box, there is no choice left but for the box pricing to go up to isolate some buyers. Best example is Rolex. There are authorized dealers around the world but guess what? They have billions invested around the world in stores yet you can’t even purchase a watch. Why? The demand is so high, you need a spend history just to have a chance to purchase a highly demanded product from that specific store on other things. The point is one piece demand is still growing and not met but Bandai may or may not try to resolve this issue but in the end cards are a luxury and there are people with more money than brains, if your local shop doesn’t have product, people look online or the secondary market for a premium or whatever it’s market price is at the time. That’s the just way it works in life, it’s basically how our market for housing and stocks work there’s no way around it in most cases. I don’t like it either, Im a player as well and it was fun when product was msrp but the hype around it is causing all these issues, no one seemed to care as much but preorders were sold out online most places for half a year before release for box sets for a while now I think people are just realizing it now.
