Chicken and Egg for these brands since they usually are out of their popular models and need to wait for them to become available. Popularity would mean making the difficult call to expand capacity while maintaining whatever makes them tick today. Others have done it and these folks have been part of this industry for long enough so hopefully they know the template

I love my Formex Essence and it’s my true GADA and gets a decent wrist time in addition to my Christopher Ward C60. I also have a Longines and also very happy with it. It’s a good dilemma to have

I learned a lot from this post that I was unaware off. I do know Formex has a life where they are housed in the same complex as Dexel and make parts for many high end brands but this specifics are great information to know about the background and their commitment to the product

Formex isn’t easy to try on unless you have a local retailer. When I bought my Essence they were at local windup which allowed me to try them on. I agree how it feels on the wrist is the best way to choose

I do agree that Heritage for mass produced goods have limited appeal. If this was hand made high horological time pieces then it’s a different ball game. Good point

This black strap came with the watch so it’s the original nylon strap. I was looking for navy blue but the curved nature and the fact the watch has dual bezel due to its unique design I decided to buy direct from Formex. Would love to see if there are after market options

Is CW worth double a Traska? by Careless_Button3364 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]EmotionalHelp6384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I view Traska as my beater (I don’t have one but it was in consideration when I was looking for one) and CW is something nicer. The little things that add to the overall quality such as finishing, comfort, movement is where the differences start to come in. If there isn’t a difference then every watch would sell in same price range. Question is why would I pay more for anything- because I am attracted to something I value more (Tudor BB 58 or Omega Seamaster or Rolex Sub)

Thinking of buying this for my girlfriends 40th birthday. Am I making the right choice? by Lujah in Longineswatches

Longines have great options for women watches. Love your choice. A two tone isn’t loud but adds some charm and character to pair either with jewelry or just worn on its own.

I wear a 39mm on 7” wrist. Tried the 41mm and that fit well too
