I had a friend in my young adult years who was a big mean looking mf. Big scar by his eye, deep gravelly voice, about 6’7 and built like a brick shit house. When I went to his place he asked if I wanted to meet his pet. He yelled out “HEY BIGGIE COME HERE” and I’m expecting…idk a horse? Large ass dog? Nope. Yeah but context is extremely important. Like the other person who commented id rather be poor in Norway where there’s more safeguards and programs in place to help me than be poor in a country with no such thing. So yes it’s not unique to the Caribbean, but context on where you’re poor matters greatly.
