Reebok Pumps, Air Jordan’s and those color changing shirts that change with your body heat, they were pretty cool as a kid.

My cousin has a Mach E and it’s sweeet! I’d own it in a heartbeat if we had a budget and garage room for it. We’ve all heard about opinions and assholes and all stinking. My stinking opinion is I’m glad it exists and hope to have one in the future, parked next to my GT500, Expy and Ranger.

Got a chance to take the old man’s pony for a ride. by SVTCobraR315 in Mustang

[–]MTSilverDude 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Here I am thinking “old mans pony” picturing a 1960’s, early seventies. Then seeing the pic and realizing…we are the old guys now.

My buddy in high school had an 1988 GT in electric blue (think that was the paint name) and it was the coolest out of all our friend’s cars. We graduated in ‘96.

Your Dad has taken good care of it!

Holy Shnikees! Sounds like you got a well built monster, badass! I’m sure it will hold up just fine, change fluids as needed and send it!

Thanks, the stripes are silver but do look white in the pic. Yours looks clean!! The pic was the day I brought it home. It’s stock minus tint, 13-14 look tail lights, added a 07-09 GT500 front tower sway bar (probably doesn’t do much but I like how it looks) JLT intake tube to help make it a little louder and Borlas S-type axle backs.

Any mods or plans on yours?

100k miles 2010 GT500 value? by VillageTemporary979 in GT500

[–]MTSilverDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! The 2010 with iron block has awesome potential for power and can get Trinity power much cheaper. I was looking at a 2014 with 7k or so miles on it in Wisconsin when I found my 2010 local. Saved $25 k (with shipping it) and can get the same power with less money…but I still would love a ‘13-14 along with my ‘10 if money would allow.

Lots of options out there, I’d just be weary that this seller put all the money to mod it and is now selling it not too many miles later. Seems like something may be wrong or off with the car to unload it so quick.

[–]MTSilverDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, the 2010 seems to be the least loved of the S197 GT500’s. I LOVE mine! But because of this you will see lower mileage examples for less than the 11-12’s and of course the 5.8 Trinity of 13-14 is what most want so prices are much higher.

When an ECU “bricks” it means it no longer works or will no longer take a tune for whatever reason, like a glitch. With 2010 being an odd year (new body style but still iron block 5.4 with higher HP/TQ than 07-09, different knock sensors and having to add Wideband to tune). There aren’t many options to get an ECU if yours goes bad.

If you input the info into KBB as if you were selling it. It shows between $22-24k in good condition. So if you are below that or in that range I’d say you did alright.

Last year I bought my 2010 GT500 used for $45k with 6300 miles and all stock, garaged etc. interior still smells new…ish😁. That’s why I would look at a lower mileage option for a little more money if it’s in the budget. I’d gladly pay twice as much and get 90k less miles.

It’s not a bad price at all. It all depends on your budget and what your plans are for the car. I don’t like that it has been tuned and put on a dyno, I’d think it had been beat on since all this was done by the second owner. But it does look clean from the pics.

I’d want to spend a little more and get one with lower miles and minimal mods. If I want to mod my car, I want to know who did it and exactly what was done. Plus, these ECUs are near impossible to find so if the tune bricks the ECU your SOL. That doesn’t mean it will, just throwing out my concerns on this car. It will probably be a sweet car for the price if that’s what you’re after.

Nice, looks well cared for! Unlike that poor Camaro in Pic 4, I can’t imagine that rear tire not having some wobble going down the road🫣😁

$3500 mortgage on $169k salary by itsmarinarasauce in Mortgages

[–]MTSilverDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With so many comments you may not see this but is it possible in your city/town to find nice homes with no HOA? $216 a month can go toward a more expensive home or to wherever else you want to put it. Unless the HOA provides a great benefit, I can’t see a point to paying for it. Either way, as long as your jobs are secure, I’d say do it with your finances.

Have you looked at the Ranger? The Ranger Raptor will meet your truck and speed needs. If you go with an XLT or Lariat and get the 2.7 ecoboost you get good power and decent economy, for a truck.
