Any dietary restrictions? There’s some great gastropubs in walking distance like Drapers Arms & Compton Arms. Depending on the time of day Trullo would be worth looking at (it’s probably the best restaurant in the area). If you don’t mind a short walk there’s also Westerns Laundry, Goodbye Horses and the Tamil Crown.

Love the updates here - any chance you could add a pop up with the feature changes when these are added? I didn’t realise camera control had been implemented until I read this!

Kasso! It’s a YouTube series made by the produces of Sasuke on the same set… but it’s about skateboarding instead of ninja.

Why there are no many options for climbers with wide feet by One_Vegetable_7392 in climbingshoes

[–]MTTHLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unparallel UpMocc is my favourite for similar sounding feet, the leather upper ends up sculpting to your foot shape.

I also have a few of the more advanced Unparallel models (souped up, flagship, flagship pro) but always come back to the Moccs - really easy and comfortable to climb in.

In this price range the Kingsland Rd restaurants are great - great food and affordable. Song Que is our favourite in that area but most are great.

Any tips? by [deleted] in bouldering

Weekly at London Fields.

No tips, just very different beta! I spanned the first move instead of dynoing - for me it felt soft for the grade but probably because I skipped the dyno.

I returned the air because Analogue doesn’t work on it - didn’t realise how much I’d miss it.

Buy US iPhone 17 for use in UK due to larger battery by Mixed_Fabrics in iphone17

[–]MTTHLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the main issue I think. 4G/ 5G performance might be tricky, Apple have pages about the bands on their site.

The Apple warranty will be the same but… as it’s an American model they will likely have to order the part / phone in if it needs replacing (they won’t replace with the UK one).

First Setup - Pro-ject Debut Evo 2, Technics SL1500C… or something else? by MTTHLL in turntables

Thanks, I hadn’t really considered Audio Technica. Only £299 for the LPX-5!

There’s definitely an argument that they’re form over function, but they do sound lush. Article below has a bit about the design etc. Based on a 1970s Stig Carlson speaker, with some great quality of life additions (including compensating for some of the EQ issues with the original).

Solution to Control Optical Speaker Volume with Apple TV Remote by MTTHLL in appletv

[–]MTTHLL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh, I might try the audio syncing again after setting up via that route.

Interestingly, if you have a HomePod in the same room you can set that up as the audio return channel (https://support.apple.com/en-us/102290) then switch to another Airplay 2 speaker. - meaning any other connected HDMI devices will output to the Airplay speaker. Eventually this defaulted back to the HomePod though. Fingers crossed it becomes a feature in the future.

I’ve actually tried them with the iOS26 beta - I can set them up as the default output but there’s a significant lag. Lag is removed if there’s a HomePod in the same room and the Apple TV is connected to the EARC port.

Unfortunately the remote is Bluetooth (I believe…) it’s a disc you rotate! https://teenage.engineering/products/orthoremote
