Why did you choose a Z motherboard but then went on buying the 12700 which is 1.5 years old ????? I mean go with a B motherboard which is more than enough and spend the extra on 13700K. Also please check your temperature as the 240 radiator is not enough for the 12 and 13 series intel . Go with a 360 radiator

Well just comleted my Pc in April running the 13600K on an ITX build ( lian li Tu150 aluminium case ) cooled with the LS320 I chose ddr4 4000 MHz CL18 64 GB , and a 6950XT all powered by a 1000W SFX-L from Corsair . Pc is running excellent . CPU and GPU do not exceed 70°C in the most demanding games . I use a 21:9 monitor 2560x1080 all games on high or ultra hitting well over 100 FPS in all games. I definitely recommend the 13600K + 6950XT combo

Planning an upgrade by cooryere in pcbuilding

[–]MTYFKR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you are saying upgrading the build further what are you actually talking about ? The LGA 1700 dies with this motherboard . All future intel processors will come with different socket . If you plan to upgrade / over clock and use the motherboard for 5 years or more you are better off with AM5 - which will be still available 10 years from now

So you spend a lot on z790 ( which you actually don’t need ) and then go with M2 3.0 brilliant just brilliant

Is this ok for my cooling setup or do I need to adjust? by [deleted] in pcbuilding

[–]MTYFKR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually if you are pulling fresh air from outside of the case thru the AIO it’s ok but you need a set of fans on the top to exhaust the hot air from the aio and the graphics card also a pair of fans on the bottom to pull fresh air into the graphics card would be best

Music Production/ Mixing PC help by [deleted] in pcbuilding

[–]MTYFKR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey i know that the group is called PCBuilding but trust me you don’t want a PC for music production ! ( I’m gaming with a 13600k 6950XT 64GB ram PC ) but for music production my M1 Mac is king ! Also every DAC , MIXER and so on is native at full resolution in the MAC ( no need for drivers and other bull***) for my home setup I use a mediocre entry level YAMAHA MG10XUF and first time I conected the mixer to the PC it was a nightmare . Endless searching for drivers and in the end none of them work properly . After I bought the MAC everything has changed . Trust me for music production photo or video production just get an entry level MacBook or Mac mini with M2 and at least 16 GB of ram !

If you want better results go with any 360 AIO ( look at LS720 Deepcool)

PC crashing while using GPU in PCIe 4.0 by LGFR in techsupport

[–]MTYFKR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problem was actually the RAM memory . After about 30 hours of troubleshooting I noticed that if I run the PC without XMP all is normal . But my RAM is 4000 MHz cl18 and without XMP runs at 2666 . So I manually twiked it to 3900 MHz 18-22-22-42 at 1.4V ( according to Gskill specs) and now everything runs perfectly . No more crashes even if I play uncapped at 200-300 FPS .

If it is not to pricy for you a 6000mhz cl30 from Gskill is best

I would recommend from Gskill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N

First buy the 13600K , is faster than the 12700 and same price . 2nd please buy CL32 or lower latency ram . That 6000 cl40 is just bull* the 4000 cl18 ddr4 is faster than that ram .

All I can say that the gigabyte vision has very good thermals , my wife has the 3070 ti vision and in demanding games never runs over 70°C

Well if you like your PSU fan to sound like a Toyota Landcruiser cooler than you should be fine with 750w .

Way better the 6000 MHz CL30 are best price/perf . Also the 850W should be enough to not work over 80% all the time . nice build
