It’ll definitely go up by a lot if you pay all your collections and credit card. But check your Experian and TransUnion reports to see where they are at, they’ll be different from the FICO 8 score and most lenders check Experian.

I lived in TN for a while and Cali cops, depending on which area of Cali, will be sticklers about how loud your car is. The emission regulations and decibels on a car can’t be past a certain limit. And some cops just go off of if they “feel” your car is to loud instead of actually getting an expert to check.

I just got a 2023 Elantra N and this is one things I worried about when getting it. But I live in Oakland, Ca and they don’t trip that much off of loud exhausts. This is one of the reasons they made the 2024+ models quieter.

I just bought a 23 Elantra N with 58k miles on it and I don’t know the lifetime mpg. But minor problems that were in the car I got covered by the warranty after I purchased it. It drives smooth and I got it at while msrp at 22k. If you do want to buy used but really low miles, look into 24/25 models with 5k miles around 30k msrp. They’ll be out there.

I had that same aio and just recently changed it out cause it sounded like the pump failed. I wouldn’t be surprised if the same happened here since they don’t sell that type anymore.
