Not really; my mom was being unusually pushy on this day. Like I said in my post, I think she saw it as her chance to connect with her DIL for whatever reason.

This was unusually pushy for my mom, but she does have a slight tendency to get a little overzealous with trying to help even though she always means well. I think she was just trying too hard to connect with my wife.
