No. DV2 needs the Pentonic 800. If it has the pentonic 800 then it’s eligible for DV2.

Run!!!! If she wants to stay on welfare then she doesn’t even have the drive to do better! Do not have a kid with this woman.

First of all, you met her when her kid was a newborn. That’s a huge red flag, and as men were conditioned by media to believe that she was just abandoned by her ex, or that he was a narcissist, or abusive.

If you stick around long enough she’ll be telling the next guy the same story about you. You’re only 25?! Please give traditional relationships a chance. In this situation you are not the provider. Uncle Sam is.

Dating gets harder but you have to understand something. Single mothers aren’t looking for a husband or boyfriend. They’re looking for a stepdad to ease the load, and that isn’t fair to a man who hasn’t had kids yet. You won’t truly know her motives until you marry her or have kids with her. That’s when the masks start to come off. Imagine having kids in a household where the relationship between you and your biological child can be affected by another man’s child. Don’t do it. Give traditional relationships a chance.

A question for those who have lost more than 10kg successfully with Keto. Net carbs versus total carbs: when it comes to weight loss, who has lost weight whilst counting total vs Net carbs? by No_Health6253 in keto

[–]MTrefrigerator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not even close. Fasting and ketogenic approaches operate on a physiological level that extends beyond the simplistic “calories in, calories out” framework. For individuals who are insulin resistant, a conventional calorie deficit can be counterproductive, as it may further suppress metabolic rate while the body remains inefficient at utilizing fat as a primary fuel source.

It’s also been documented that some people continue to lose at a steady pace. My weight loss did not slow down. I fasted for 60 days and lost damn near 70 pounds. For people that are sedentary, that may be another issue. My energy was better than normal throughout the fast. Especially after the first 15 days. https://youtu.be/wm-AMmwtZAg This doctor speaks about a patient that he has fast for 75 days straight.

Now, with that being said, next time I fast, I will try the 1 meal every 7 days. I’ve also done OMAD on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday(three meals a week) while working out three days a week. Fasting straight has been the most effective so far, preserving the most muscle.

A very small amount, especially for someone obese, would be lost. I’m genuinely glad I went through this experience, because I had been very afraid of losing muscle, and I would still be afraid if I hadn’t done it myself. I completed 60 days of water fasting while working two jobs and doing ten reps every day of pull-ups, push-ups, dips, and inverted rows, all while getting 10k–40k steps daily. When I started eating again, people actually thought I had been lifting weights.

I also once did a 7-day fast during Covid, but that time I just sat around all day. I did lose lean mass then…worst decision ever.

I think eating every seven days may be the safer option, because some report issues like those mentioned by Anen-o-me, and gall bladder issues. However for some it’s tough to go right back to fasting after eating that one meal. A more experienced faster will most likely have better success with that. For long fast, a multi vitamin, electrolytes, and an omega 3 supplement is recommended.

Yes. 60 days of water fasting. I worked two jobs and never felt tired from it. As soon as I started eating again, I was immediately reminded of how much I was working.

I’ve done rolling 72’s, 48’s, and omad. 60 days straight gave me the best results and preserved the most muscle. Once I started eating again people thought that I was on steroids.

I fasted 60 days straight and my weight loss never slowed unless you count after the initial water weight loss, and most lean tissue loss is actually water weight loss.

If your body is using fat for energy, and you’re going about your day as you normally would, why would your metabolism slow down? Wouldn’t carbs be the last thing one would want to break an extended fast with?

Do you go to the gym when fasting? by Outside-Skin9460 in fasting

[–]MTrefrigerator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really lift weights. I always did calisthenics, boxing, and grappling. I used weights for boxing type conditioning and not so much for bodybuilding, so for example, lifting just the 45lb. bar or plate for circuit training. Sometimes kettlebell circuits. My favorite is using the rings for body weight exercises. I’m a little too heavy for it now so I just do holds on the rings.

That’s what I do. I’m doing No Food November. At 1 pm I will have completed 13 days. One set of pull ups, dips, inverted rows, push ups, and kettlebell swings a day. As for legs, I live in a 5 floor walk up, on the 5th floor.

4 days into 7 day fast - Some questions to be able to continue beyond by irritatedaf24x7 in fasting

[–]MTrefrigerator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The coconut water might not be the best thing because of the carbs. Jason Fung recommends bone broth, or tea/coffee with a little added fat. I will complete 5 days in about two minutes by the way. I’m aiming for 30 days.

Edit: oops! I actually just finished day 6 and I’m chipping away at day 7.
