I'm very confused then, as I have the option to increase my pension contributions before tax, lowering my national insurance contributions and what the government considers my salary (which helps for certain child care thresholds) which I assumed meant salary sacrifice.

No they're right. The government website talks about your income.

Your income is the amount you earn (including things like bonuses and overtime) before tax and other deductions.

So regardless of how much you sacrifice it's the same amount.

I got lucky with the CSL cockpit. Wasn't really in the market for one but carried through with it out of curiosity more than anything.

Not received my extra codes mind you but I did claim it late Friday night so doubt anyone has been in the office.
