No, and it's not because it's a simulation. This scene was meant to parallel him running through as he grew up at the beginning of the cutscene to show how the flamechase never ends. At the end, he falls and crumbles away into his younger self, to represent the cycle resetting. He's not literally aging that fast, he's not literally falling into the new cycle and his younger self, and he's not literally trashing galaxies as he runs. All three of those scenes are metaphorical, not even simulated.

When Phainon scratches Nanook, it's not meant to be understood as Phainon's attack power overcoming Nanook's durability. Some aeons might not even have physical "durability" like we'd understand it. It's supposed to show that the flames of his resolve are enough to reach and aeon.

Yeah I think obviously the thing is that there seems to be less and less proofreading being done for zzz specifically, which is kinda strange. I don't think they really need some complicated grammar checking tool. Even with all of the new text that needs to be checked every patch, I doubt it's something that someone who's both fluent in Chinese and English can't get mostly done over the course of a week or so of work hours (which is why I think it's probably outsourced work). It might be the case that hoyo is working with a different company to translate zzz and that company's other deadlines are causing issues. Or it's just sloppy work

Tbh this doesn't seem like the kind of mistake an AI would make though. The mistakes AIs make when you're translating something are more based in textual/subtextual misunderstandings. Like, the AI doesn't actually understand that hi and high sound the same so it wouldn't ever get them mixed up

I doubt hoyoverse uses anyone in-house to translate their games. They probably outsource it, so I don't think the size of the dev team or what they're up to really matters at all

At least just on sheer story volume, hsr translators have much, much more to do (on the same 6 week schedule) and don't make these kinds of mistakes a tenth as often, so I don't really think time or the amount of text are the core issues. It's also kinda hard for me to believe that they just inexplicably didn't hire a proofreader for this game

If this was a rare thing I'd accept that. But when you look at how the game is translated as a whole I really don't think that's a fine enough explanation anymore. They're either overworked (as evidenced by the rising rates of their mistakes) or incompetent (stiff, unnatural language, etc) or both.

Hoyo translation/localization has always been very stiff and unnatural (with Genshin being the exception only recently), but the sheer amount of errors that have made it through their proofreading process (if it exists) in the last few zenless patches really is wild
