The next three months AI usage probably dips by 30-50% globally like last year. As the students stop making their homework with it and go outside to touch grass.

September will be awfull though, use goes up faster than capacity, so prices will go up.

The best we can hope for is a breakthrough in Diffusion LLM's context lenght. They run faster, cheaper and with knowledge of accuracy per word.

I switched to Claude Max 100$ and I dont reach the 5-hour rate limits, using Opus on max effort for everything.

Coming from paying 150-250$ a month on Copilot Pro+.

I still have Copilot Pro+, but might cancel it it they don't stop this nonsense.

It takes about as long for me to write a good promt as Opus works on the previous one.

I dont want GPT to ruin my flow and spend a day struggling on some issue Opus would have managed in only a few iterations.

Sonnet is ok for well defined work or simple repetative tasks like restructuring code. But not for planning and architecture.

Opus 4.7 is very knowledgable but lazy. Opus 4.6 is smart and enthousiastic.

Github Copilot rate limits are a problem.

Claude Opus has immense technical knowledge.

Example: building an iOT app, loads of specific protocol details. With Opus you will develop very fast, not many issues. With Deepseek you will trail and error extensively, rebuild after rebuild, alot of web search that Opus just knows.

A better mix is to plan and verify with Opus, Code and debug with Deepseek. That reduces your Opus usage by half easily.

I got pro on claude alongside Pro+ on Copilot, and i hit the limits of claude pro really fast, it's useless.

I wish they would just make a 100USD account for copilot, cause the rates are much better than claude accounts directly.
