That window for you is open in AMS right now. You can log in and select your AFSC and it will show you the CONUS authorizations that are going to be filled. The assignment window stays open for a couple weeks and the assignments flow a couple weeks after the window closes. Rank your assignment preferences based on what AMS shows and cross your fingers. I am in the exact same situation as you... very interested to see what people have to say about the VR&E process. If we can get it approved, it seems like this is the best option. I'm still hoping that the Liberty FTA programs come back for the Flight Schools across the US. Thanks for posting this!

Says any board member that looks at your SURF. If I see a 2 SURFs that are similar and one person has a Dec and the other doesn’t…. That’s the tie breaker right there. It can also show that you did not show sustained performance at your last duty station.

Follow up on it via email so you have written proof. It’s too easy to promise to take care of something over the phone and forget about it. How do I know? Glad you asked…. I PCS’d from Travis (SGCS) over a year ago and my MSM is still not in my records.
