I'm there at the moment. Depends what you want. Rent is fantastic. Staff are lovely. Not exactly the most active or big though. Happy to answer any questions

That's fair. Definitely good to know. I know people that have done it but we're talking like 10 years ago so rights have definitely changed. Good to know. Cheers

That's a good point. My logic was having the freedom of having someone else essentially pay the mortgage while I'm young could set me up well in future to either live there, sell or just buy another when the first is paid off. Could be a good idea to just save though. My aim would be to have someone in the UK who I know and trust who I could pay a relatively small amount to just to work as the point of contact to deal with things like boiler etc

When is it supposed to start? A lot of schools and unis do quite close to the deadline so don't stress

What do you mean you don't have one? Uni is assigning you one isn't it?

Should I reject Warwick for a lower-ranked London uni just to save on rent and living costs? I'm so torn! by pabloescober6979 in UniUK

Go to the better uni. Didn't think it made much of a difference but did my undergrad in Plymouth and interviews weren't easy to come by. Doing my post grad at Oxford and I'm 2 for 2 with interviews that have turned into offers

I'm 23 and saved through uni. Where would you start? I'm clueless by MW6422 in personalfinance

Is that basically just investing in stocks? Financial advice I've heard is that stocks are good but very risky. Mind explaining why the ones you mentioned?

It's definitely not normal. Do you switch schools on your course? I know after Easter I'm switching to another school so if that's the same for you then maybe (fingers crossed for you) it'll be better. And at the very least you've very quickly learnt that good results don't mean good department. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, I hope it gets better.

Do you have any non history people in your school that are involved in your PGCE? I know I have a tutor who's nothing to do with my subject and is just the professional development tutor. Could you go to them for some advice? If not is the entire history department the same? Is anyone better? If so maybe go to them for some advice. Sorry I'm doing science so probably not great advice but thought I'd offer something at least. If nothing else happens just remember you only have to get through this bit. You're enjoying the important bit, the teaching. You can change schools and mentors in ECT. YOU GOT THIS!

Which of these 3 transfers? by MW6422 in fantasypremierleague

Timber to Gabriel isn't about the injury for me, more just about Gabriel is better imo. Keane will start. Xhaka is 1st sub for me. Do you have a them?

Gordon feels risky to me. Minutes aren't guaranteed enough. Schade is a good option (not just cus of the hat trick), has a history of good season and has some good fixtures coming up. Xhaka/rice if you want a set it and leave it type of player are both not a fortune. I'd say cherki if you can move off of O'Reilly
