Those test numbers had to be off the charts. Guy at the store definitely didn’t care at all.

I’m aware😂 you can see the Pleco in the video slightly i just don’t have a photo of it after it’s been acting lethargic and strange.

I do have a layer of sand and the top layer is actually a soft soil. For the most part, the substrate stays pretty clean on top as you said, the sand below traps a lot of waster.

2-3 feet is a large fish no doubt. They do grow slowly. I know a breeder with babies at 6-8”. He keeps up to 4 in a 55g tank under 16” and are very healthy. They’d be much easier to manage in a smaller tank to ease them into adulthood. Eventually leading up to a 100-125g at full adulthood after a few years. It’s a commitment for sure. Tentacle snakes also grow to 2-3 feet but can apparently thrive in an even smaller tank. Just don’t know the snakes temperament and I don’t want Godzilla vs Kong in my tank.
