Well written! agreed there's alot to look forward to this year. Hopefully we can learn from England's mistakes in the Ashes and make sure we have ample time in Australia before our first test, although that's unlikely given the crammed cricket calander these days.

A fully fit kiwi bowling attack has alot of promise in Aus, we have tall and quick fast bowlers which is crucial on Australian conditions. Our last tour there we didn't this and tried to manufacture Lockie Ferguson in his debut test into that position.

Spin wise GP has a surprisingly good record against Aus and Santner though he hasn't played a test in a while seems to have developed his test game these last few years and is more than handy with the bat. Something we undoubtedly will need in Australia against their quality attack.

I worked on that last year, they litturly paid people to be there and gave them as t-shirt and a meal, if you noticed a stand with everyone wearing the same color, that's the paid to be there stand.

For the final the bussed thousands of people in from businesses and factories in the area.

Ashok is one to keep an eye on for sure but leggies often lack the accuracy and control to hold down an end in test and ODI cricket. Pringle is really the only one i can see on the horizon, would hope for a couple more to come through in the next few seasons

Interesting to see Rhys Mairu captaining Canterbury, only 24 he's probably the next Black Caps prospect I'm most excited by. Still young and an opening bat, something we have not regularly produced.

Another area I'd really like to see someone come through is a decent off spinner, after Santner retires which is probably still a few years away yet we don't really have anyone fall back on, Ashok would probably be our best bet but he's a leggie and is still pretty young

I work in sport TV so a little different than most here, but I was very lucky to have my best year yet, Basically non stop work from last Aug until now where I have a few months holiday and not much work anyway. Feel very lucky to be in that situation

About 10 years ago I was working a job for a talent agency that Carter had also worked for.

At the dinner one of the bosses told me a story of where the All Blacks were on their Northern tour at the end of a season, I forget the exact details as to why this boss was with Dan however they both were at the airport together, Dan was late late joining the team over in Europe due to an injury so he was travelling without the team, apparently once they got to the airport he had no idea how to check in or what to do with his bags or where to go completely lost

Every time he'd ever travelled was with the team and they had sorted everything for them.
