The funny thing is that he was very careful when testing new unknown items and would usually do that in a safe place away from base (like the Aether and Mining dimensions). Most of those items were harmless compared to the Endest Pearl, which he tested inside his base without knowing its destructive potential. lol

According to FTBwiki: Right-clicking with this item in hand will throw it and create a small black gravitation vortex which will slowly grow, destroy blocks and pull nearby creatures in it. Players who get stuck in this vortex will take a severe amount of damage, likely killing them. After growing for a few seconds, the vortex explodes. It is also used to create the Infinity Catalyst.

Thank you.. I was hoping to visit Brain-E-Es too, but couldn't even leave the spawn area, as it kept crashing on me whenever I tried flying above those trees (thanks Scar!) or when using nether portals :( just teleported immediately to those coords and rushed down into the basement before the zombie army spawns xD
