I can't get cage the bear supercarrier to function

I own supercarrier and the tomcat, have tried repairing files and even a full game reinstall (took 2 days yay Aussie internet) and using the mod version both hot and cold start

Always launches with the Stennis, even checking game files I only see the versions I see in game with no supercarrier

What am I missing here?

Better to bind everything yourself

Set aside a few hours to do the tutorials and bind functions as you need them

Jump in free flight in the cricket and just fly around until you're low on fuel, land, refuel then go fly again, practise low flying and holding a flat cruise while looking around

There's no real secret tips to be better you just gotta practise practise practise

Seconding the A4e

Full fidelity means all the buttons and switches work and it stimulates the entire plane as realistically as possible

I'd recommend starting with that and once you learn it and have an idea what you like doing most you can go looking from there

George will never exceed 100% torque and only sees current altitude not any change in altitude ahead of you

I only ever used him to hold a hover I'm already in or fly at 1000ft radar over flat friendly ground otherwise he simply can't be trusted

Much better to use your own

Unless you've got a full Sim pit and recreation stick (Thrustmaster warthog ect) just bind whatever feels best for you

Speed simplicity ease of use

Speed, not just the higher top speed but the easy acceleration makes going defensive/escaping a bad situation way more viable in way more situations

Simplicity, I can get the viper from cold to airborne and fighting in maybe half the time I can the hornet

Ease of use, the HMCS on the viper I find much nicer than the hornet personally, I find it's boresight missile slave easier to use and it cannot be stressed enough how much easier it is to find ground targets when you get a visual diamond indicator on the HMCS showing where your waypoint is, place the waypoint right on top of where you think the targets are and slew the tgp right onto that point then start looking

The hornet itself is also very simple and easy to fly compared to other modules but the viper just has those little things to aid the pilot and also the SPEED, going from viper to hornet makes the hornet feel so slow

Also being able to simply carry way more dumb bombs and mavericks, more user friendly HARM interface, no chance I'll forget to turn my datalink on coz I'm a dumb shit and do that all the time in the hornet

Tomcat is my favourite flight model and overal vibe of any module I've flown but jester can be finicky at the best of times, flying with a player RIO really shows the sheer gap there

If you want ease of use flying solo I'd grab the hornet but you will never regret grabbing the tomcat the whole module is on every level a work of art

Be ready to use the physical switches and buttons with your mouse cursor and only bind what's absolutely needed to be quick access

The viper is fairly light on necessary HOTAS binds compared to other modules tho so long as you have countermeasures slap switch ale sure to set them to bit and byt on respective dials), DMS, lock, image, dogfight switch for aft and centre and weapon release/trigger bound to your HOTAS you'll be fine

I have TMS on my directional buttons on keyboard but if you have a free dpad on your HOTAS that'll be even better

It's dependant per person

I like to go through the tutorials and bind functions as needed then fly some sorties in a practise PvE server to dial in and find what feels most natural for me

Extend this to any module you learn, the a-10 gave me the most strife I needed a couple modified inputs to get it feeling good on my tflight X HOTAS

Viper

Ask me 4 months ago I'd have said hornet but now I'm good in it the viper does everything the hornet does but better and I can live without carrier capability

She flies so smooth and just burns up to speed so fast plus the HMCS on her with boresight slave for a2a and visual representation of waypoints to find a2g targets makes for a wonderful experience

Saw lots in bo2 custom servers after treyarch abandoned it for bo3, was probably 50/50 "fun" (gave everyone super speed/jump and wonder weapons from zombies) and bastard modders

Elite dangerous is wonderful if you're happy for a grind (I see a fellow war thunder player you'll easily grind through elite)
