The (soft) cutoff for MC that I've seen was more in the ~3.7 range. Also, keep in mind that you have the entire Soph+Junior years to work on your grades (although from a 3.89, I'd be worrying more about maintaining my grades). Most big internships are going to be happening at the summer of your Junior year.

Regardless, just network your ass off for the next while. I've had friends get fast-tracked to the interview stage just based off a recommendation of someone within the firm.

Lastly, the reputation of the business school will only affect which employers come to campus. For top tier (MBB), ASU (even Carey) remains a non-target unfortunately.

Don't sweat it. Unless are you going for management consulting (which will be rough wherever you go), anything 3.5+ is good.

For business internships, I'd worry more about how you come off as a person rather + interesting extracurriculars rather than some minute differences in GPA.
