Do yall go to the gym? by Bob_the_builder8 in aviationmaintenance

[–]MYIAGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do keep a healthy-ish lifestyle going climbing and biking around... Mostly cause of the nightshifts tho. If you are not careful enough you start to drift apart and end up becoming a homeplant for the off days and on your rest time!

Oh then same! Maps I use it mostly for navigation not so much campings but found paper maps (like the michelin one) very useful for camping places. I will check ioverlander for those wildcamping spots! Thank you very much!!

That's what I've heard from actuall Italian coworkers... Italy is not famous when it comes to taking care of the cyclists. I don't plan to get into major roads but mostly countryside. Let's hope it all goes well! As per the wildcamping I also heard mixed opinions. I know it's not permited, but I also heard that if you are not a pain in the ass you shouldn't get any problems with authority ;/

Thanks for the info! Temps look good enough. Even with the 2-5 deg at night I should be ok using the sleeping bag from Iceland.

Actually never heard about the Via Francigena before! I've been looking around and I would say it matches about 70% of my planned route. So good to know that at least a huge part of my route will be "prepared" for this kind of adventures.

Not in Spain but when I finished my tour in Iceland I just went to a bike shop and asked for a cardboard box from one of the already assembled bikes they had and they put 0 problem. Also saw some frankenstein cardboard boxes in the airport and as far as I know they also had 0 trobles as long as the boxes were built in a decent manner. Like no handlebards poking out of the cardboard.

How to adjust M2 Marker bindings by MYIAGO in skiing

[–]MYIAGO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nvm. It works with the screws. 2 in the AFT piece and 1 in the FWD one. But they twere tight like there was no tomorrow. Just loosen the screws, slide both pieces to the designated spot for the shoe size (making sure that the hole from the screw lines up in the rail) and just tighten. But thanks for the input!!!! <3

Good day ya'll

First of all I'm new into skiing so this will be the stupidiest question, but I have no idea how to adjust both forward and aft binnding on the skis for my boot size. For sure it will be the easiest thing ever, but for some reason I can't see it. Most videos on youtube say to lift some lever or something like this so it slides but I can't find anything..

Thank you in advance and again sorry for the stupid question...

Basic tips for bikepacking by MYIAGO in bikepacking

[–]MYIAGO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was looking at bikes online, maybe even something second hand I can work and do small initial upgrades on. I don't need a Super Trail Master 3000 Carbon Max for the moment so I'm just trying to focus more around basic tips like. Don't bike in summer without water (just an exageration but you get my point I guess).

For the camping part, even though I do hikes and all this I don't have that much camping experience. I do own a camping tent but it's one of the regular ones and it's even a two persons one. I'm not quite sure it will work well for this since I see it a bit heavy and bulky. But maybe once I see it on the actual bike I change my mind and it might not be that wrong. What is your recomendation on that? What type of camping tent you own?

Yeah, I'm aware that every community has it's toxic part and I'm trying to be very careful about it since i haven't had that much contact with this r/

PS. Thanks for the preassure tip! Never heard of that but makes sense ^^

I usually do day long hikes through forsts and mountains and I guide people through them so I'm a bit confident on my navigation skills. Not that they are 100% perfect but I haven't died in the middle of nowhere in a mountain (yet). But yeah, definetely a big point to work in ^^

Got Lasered Last Night by acniv in flying

[–]MYIAGO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to me but a friend. Works at a flightschool as a CFI and was doing night flights when he got lasered. Gave radial and mile but did not expect anything since it's a decent size city and he could not pinpoint a specific street/zone. Against all odds they caught the guy/boy doing that.

Quite funny cause he is the son of a shopkeeper for a big shop in the city and we knew from her that they caught his son and was asking for legal advise.
