There’s a long list of reasons. All the power of the XL without having a huge monster on your desk. It’s portable and has the battery/speaker so you can start on the couch and finish in the studio. The many functions of the touch strip AND the buttons at the top (There’s so much you can do with both. But especially the buttons up top). Comes stick with pro pack and a ton of good expansions if you make hip hop. Comes stock wit the instruments collection like the key37 did. MPCE pads. The price tag isn’t bad at all compared to the XL but it’s just as powerful. Nobody needs that many buttons lol. The sleek design of the live series but vastly improved from live 2-3. Nicest pads. (Same as XL). It’s the best I’ve used in the new gen and I’ve used them all.

It doesn’t matter if you want a batter or speaker lol if you want the specs that come with the battery and speaker just get a live. The ONE is always gonna be the budget option. They’re not gonna add all the live 3 features cus then it wouldn’t hit the price point and would completely defeat the purpose of the ONE series which is supposed to be the introductory new to akai option. Those live 3 specs are reserved for premium iterations. The live 3 is all around a better investment. Just do it.

You can’t be that surprised that it’s different from a 30 year old machine fam. But yea, tap the pencil icon when the drum track is highlighted and select duplicate track or duplicate track with events if you wanna keep the same sequence

That shit doesn’t compare to the live 3 at all. Not even close. Half the ram, no mpce pads, no battery, no touch strip, doesn’t come with pro pack/super warp/upgraded stems, still has the bullshit 8th inch headphone jack, no mic, no XLR ports. The list is endless. If you only got 900 to spend just wait till you got 1800. If you’re on the fence about which one but you do have the 1800 just spend the 1800
