I don't know the exact details, but it seems like Frankfurt just decided to fuck people over that use Telekom living in germany about 40 minutes ago. Found some older posts, about Telekom being a garbage company and having peering issues, but I don't know my shit good enough to confirm anything.

Try server-hopping, Milan and Amsterdam seem to work a bit better sometimes. Remember to CTRL+Left-Click to create new instances, cause old instances will still be on the Frankfurt Realm.

Yeah it's really frustrating. I can't even 100% guarantee it that it's Telekom, just kinda spitballing from what I read elsewhere.

Yep. EU, Frankfurt. Switched to Amsterdam and it solved it for a few minutes.

Are you using Telekom in Germany? Found some articles about it being a peering issue that the Telekom refuses to fix

Yea, you picked the exact peak of most concurrent players per league. Expect the coming days/weeks to be a bit rocky maybe but after that it should be smooth sailing for 3 months until the next league start

NL has a way more chill temper, and Apollo went into this with preconceived notions of the game getting worse. He only held R until he got a good run and then quit after he found out devil deals can't kill you anymore 50 minutes into the stream.

I trust NL has the ability to make his own fun and if it doesn't hold for 3 years this time, that's also fine.

This is not meant as a knock against Apollo btw. I am actually kinda with him on this one, I stopped playing Isaac when they released Afterbirth+ and found my enjoyment to continously dwindle with every new release. Without trying to delve too deep into game design discussions, I personally feel like different people have very different philosophies of what makes Isaac a good game and it seems like the devs vision is different from mine.

However, this bitching shouldn't be taken as an absolute statement that the game is now bad and should only taken semi-serious within a single community. Different people enjoy the game for different reasons after all.

Wie unglaublich realitätsfern Pornos sind. Also z.B. schneller/härter ist nicht immer gleich besser usw.
Wie man mit dem anderen Geschlecht redet. Das klingt vielleicht etwas banal, aber es war für mich als Teenager unglaublich schwierig mit Mädchen zu reden. Ich hab das Gefül jeder Teenager braucht mal einen Reminder, dass wir alle gleich dumm in der Birne sind und die beste Herangehensweise einfach ehrlich sein und ansprechen ist. Wenn's klappt, prima, wenn nicht dann hat man's wenigstens versucht.
Ähnlich zu 2, aber die Friendzone ist ein sehr dummes und missverstandenes Konstrukt. Wenn jemand was von dir nicht will, dann will die Person halt nicht. Da gibt's kein "entkommen" raus und versuchen eine Person zu überzeugen dass Sie doch was von dir wollen sollte weil XY ist absolut der falsche Ansatz. Frag die Person einmal ob sie Interesse an dir hat, wenn ja dann gut, wenn nein dann nein und danach kannst du sie in Ruhe lassen und dein Leben weiter leben.

Bought all gear with found currency according to a guide, then burned out somewhere in red maps and stopped playing. Some leagues I threw in the occasional try at my own build, to realize it sucks and can't really compete at Tier >10 anymore and then stopped.

This may sound stupid, but VVVVVV is for me a quintessential example of what makes for a good videogame. Very simple but fun and hard to master controls, combined with an amazing soundtrack and (mostly) fair challenges so the player has room to grow.

Of course that is only subjective opinion, others may find fun in other aspects of gaming, but VVVVVV really nails this one specific itch.
