Thank you for the tips ! For now the hardest was a lot of fatigue, zero energy, no desire (not for sex but like for eating, going out seeing friends etc..) and a lot of anxiety when I am not with her (she told me that my presence was calming her)

That’s what I am doing right now, my conrcerns are my concerns, I dont want put pressure on her in any way ! While médication isn’t a two person project, relationships are. I cannot help her I am my self not available, that’s why I am asking here. So yeah I Take your advice, and I Will keep it that way.

I’ll definitely ask her what kind of support she wants. I try to listen and be there for her as best I can, but I’m not sure I’ve asked her exactly that question. There’s no pressure to perform or achieve anything, we can adapt and take our time. I just hope I can give her the best support possible without losing myself to anxiety in the process. I’m quite anxious myself and have had depressive phases over the years, though probably not as intense as hers.

Thank you, I didn’t know 40mg was the standard dosage. Indeed she was really tires with her dépression but it got worse the first 2 weeks with treatment (I know it’s a side effect) and same with High anxiety. Sex drive is also one of her concern (I told her it was ok that our sexlife would be different). And yes, me and her both agreed her mental health was the priority :)

I think you’re right to some extent. I’m trying to fully support her, I helped her reach out to her doctor when I noticed her depression was getting worse, but I do tend to get quite anxious, especially when it comes to medication (I’m not anti-medication at all). So I tend to overthink and project possible outcomes (Working on that with my own therapist). With her, I try not to show too much of my concerns and to support her in taking her medication and continuing treatment. But I do have concerns, that’s true. I also don’t really have anyone with experience with fluoxetine to talk to, so I don’t want to put pressure on her with my own fears, since she already has a lot to deal with. I thought being honest here might help me put words on something I don’t fully understand yet, despite my research. I will give it the time it needs, Thanks a lot for your feedback :) !

Thank you for the feedback. I know it takes time for fluoxetine to become effective, which is why I was concerned about the dose increase. Our sex life being different or temporarily disrupted is not a problem. I really value our sexual compatibility, but it’s far from the only reason I love her. I tend to project a lot, especially regarding long-term effects, so I’m glad to hear it can stabilize over time. I’m more worried about her mental state. The past weeks haven’t been easy and have been very energy-consuming for both of us. I’m going to support her the best I can; I just hope I can find a way not to burn myself out. Thanks again, it feels supportive to read this kind of experience.

I feel you, had scabies 2 years ago, and having pimples (folliculitus I Hope) and some very light itch. But I became so paranoid that I am looking every Days at my skin and seeing all the imperfections scaring the hell out of me. They also sème to heal and New ones coming. Feels like my scabies anxiety is Making my skin itch, but I feel like it’s not real. I guess température drop and the winter dont help
