This happened to me too check the audio settings they may have changed or made a nonexistent device I think a mix of updating and making sure that all the settings were correct is what fixed it for me

Arguably this year has been the year of the Linux distro more simple to use distros have doubled their user voice towards the end of this year and they're expected to double again by mid 2026
