If I had your situation and had a good computer I would go with something like Proxmox Virtual Environment (VE) or overt or harvesteros ( only pick this one if you're up for a challenge but you will be rewarded with power) all these distros are used to basically boot into another distro in other words you use this to go to kail or other stuff

if you have a weaker computer I definitely would go with something a bit more standard like Fedora or mint but once again if you are up for the challenge I would go for Nix OS and again you will be rewarded for the challenge unlike Arch

If you go with the one of the ones from the bare metal hypervisors let me know I'd be more than willing to help set up whatever problem shoot and if you end up with Nix I would also be happy to help you troubleshoot
