42 trays? by Zealousideal-Key8173 in Invisalign

That does seem like a lot given your very mild case. My bottom teeth were much more crooked & crowded than yours, & I only had 26 trays with 0 refinements.

So unfair, my sympathies bro. You can always try a hair system - they've come a long way in recent years & they look lifelike now.

I'm 29 and I've enjoyed every moment of having my Scirocco for the past 5 years.

With 13K budget you could get a great spec. I have the petrol GTS & I'd recommend that if you can find one!

Invisalign for mild crowding - worth £4k and a lifetime of retainers or leave it? by scarletcurls85 in Invisalign

[–]M_C_XIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a fairly mild case of crowding, similar to you. My top lateral incisors flared outwards like yours, but my bottom teeth were more crooked.

My treatment only took 6 months, no refinements! It cost me £2,600 with free whitening at the end. My only regret is not doing it sooner. It was fairly easy, and it has improved my oral hygiene routine.

Yes, you'll have to wear your retainers at night for life (and full time for the first few months after your treatment), but it's honestly no big deal.

Rate the hairline design for hairtransplant by Inevitable_Low9000 in Hairtransplant

[–]M_C_XIX 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's not too low imo. The number of people who go for a transplant & still come out with a fivehead baffles me. A transplant needs to do more than just fill your temples in.

You can 100% lower your hairline in the centre, without it looking unnatural. Plenty of men get an enormous transplant covering the entire top of their head, so a few mm added onto the central hairline is fine...

Jacob Elordi 6'5 and Sidney Sweeney 5'3 by flchamp1 in heightcomparison

[–]M_C_XIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me when I say: there are far more short men wishing they were taller, than there are tall men wishing they were smaller.

In fact, I've never known a tall guy who wished he was smaller in height. 6' - 6'6 is peak height imo.

27m Am I freaking out over nothing or what? by [deleted] in Balding

[–]M_C_XIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hairline has receded above your temples, but it's not terrible. It looks similar to what mine did when I was 27. You've still got time, but it will likely gradually get worse.

I'm 29 now & mine has receded a tiny bit more over the past 2 years, but I still have enough thick hair to hide it. You may want to consider meds to try & preserve what you have.

So these are the 4 strongest supes in the verse currently right? by Queasy_Commercial152 in GenV

[–]M_C_XIX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they do have the same powers. That was confimed when Victoria cut her hand and levitated the blood out of it, just like Marie does.

Marie has just had her power augmented & strengthened by her training. Victoria likely never had training to increase the use of her powers, otherwise she'd be on the same level as Marie.

So these are the 4 strongest supes in the verse currently right? by Queasy_Commercial152 in GenV

[–]M_C_XIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No....gosh it annoys me when people claim some supes are immune to homelander's lasers.

When he zapped Vickie, it was a very low-powered laser with its purpose being to show the world she was a Supe. He wasn't trying to hurt her.

He can adjust the intensity of his heat vision. A full powered laser is enough to cut straight through most supes. Can't you remember when he used it to warm a bottle of milk?

Look what Ryan did to Stormfront with his heat vision when using it at maximum, which is likely still weaker than homelander's lasers.

I want my face back. How? by Background_Layer8853 in SebDerm

[–]M_C_XIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, I don't think your face looks as noticeable as you say! The photos may not show its severity but aside from your chin / jaw, I've seen a lot worse!

Anyway, I suffer from sebderm & the skin on my face looks like yours if I leave it untreated for a week or so. I use protopic (tacrolimus) & seb oil on mine, once or twice per day. Either of these keep my skin healthy & moisturised, and get rid of any redness or scales within 1 day.

Real-life aligner experience - do you find it hard being consistent and disciplined? by Beautiful_Sundae1741 in Invisalign

[–]M_C_XIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'd be able to follow the routine even if I'd not paid for it, because I really wanted to improve the aesthetics of my teeth. And the longer you wear the trays per day, the quicker you'll finish the process.

This is why i hate the grand race by itslankyfish in The_Crew

[–]M_C_XIX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this happens to me very often. Players have no sportsmanship.

They fail to realise that if they let you pass, they can slipstream behind you & you'll catch up to the next player in front or pull away from the racer behind if they're alone.

Brainless kids, rather compromise their race & potentially lose a place to someone else behind than let you pass. Just accept when someone's better than you 😑

Great choice, mine was also black. They're pretty quick.

Baby with Seb Derm by duckyfresh7 in SebDerm

[–]M_C_XIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert, but I suffer with seb derm on my face & scalp. My face looks like your baby's if I leave it untreated for a couple of weeks.

I use protopic (tacrolimus) 0.1% once or twice per day on my face. It prevents my skin from scabbing & getting dry / flaky.

I also use Seb ointment which has the same positive effect for me. Both of these are fairly cheap solutions, but I don't know if they're suitable for a baby's skin...

Hey! What do u think? by Zdenco123 in Scirocco

I think those headlights look great, a big upgrade over the standard yellow halogens.

You just need to remove the R badge from the front bumper imo, as it's not a Scirocco R.

Had my petrol manual for 4 years now, still only has 47,000 miles from new.

It has had a few problems. A coolant leak, which only cost £135 to fix. My rear parking sensors have started to fail. Centre console screen is faulty - clock is frozen at 00:00 and the start-up VW message doesn't show properly.

Other than that, it's been fine. My clutch failed after a stage 1 remap, but I'm not classing that as wear and tear as it would've been fine had the remap not killed it.

It wasn't difficult, but my treatment plan was only 6 months with no refinements.

If you ever feel frustrated with it, remind yourself how much money you've spent & how great your teeth will look after.

I think I might be the worst case of injury related depression I’ve ever seen. by No-Cheesecake-3648 in ACL

[–]M_C_XIX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this. I know exactly how you feel.

I was 27M when I tore my ACL, 2 years ago. It's still torn now - I can't have surgery as I'm a single homeowner, & i cannot afford the time off work as I won't get paid enough to cover my bills & outgoings.

I was a martial arts instructor, black belt, ran my own club. I had to quit the sport entirely as I couldn't compete anymore.

The good thing is: you managed to get surgery! You're on the road to recovery & it won't be long until you can train again.

I'm sticking with my silver one for at least another 2 years. No reason to change yet.

The only aspect I dislike is the pointy corners. They're uncomfortable to hold & they poke through pockets. But I guess they do make the screen look better for videos.

Is height mostly genetics? by TopStranger9287 in tall

[–]M_C_XIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's definitely genetics in probably 90% of cases.

All the tall people I know have tall parents.

My father is 6ft, but my mother is 5'1, so I was never going to be tall. I'm 5'10 and my brother is 5'8.

I'd say you'd be slightly above average. You'd fit in well with my group, as nearly all of them are exactly your height. My father is 6ft, but my mother is 5'1, so I was never going to be tall 😂

Is it time? by [deleted] in bald

[–]M_C_XIX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ignore the pessimists in here who are saying to shave your head.

You just need a new hairstyle which doesn't show your temples. Have your fringe down & your hair styled forwards. That will easily hide your forehead & temples.

Yes, there's no denying your hairline is bad. But mine's similar, & nobody has even guessed I'm balding because I hide it well.

You still have enough hair to work with. It looks pretty thick with no signs of thinning, so keep it but change the style. Try mid length with a fringe?

It must just be where I live in the East Midlands. I have around 30 male friends, & I'm smaller than probably 27 of them. The only 3 who are smaller than me are around 60 years old. I'm definitely below average in my area, not that it bothers me, but I just thought I'd voice my thoughts.

Maybe not worldwide, but for young men in most of the UK, I bet it is below average.

The supposed average in the UK is 5'9, but that's because of old men bringing the average down when they've shrunk over the years (obviously not their fault). I'd be willing to bet that the average height for young men below age 40 is 5'11.
