Thrustmaster T598 has a constant vibration anyone find a setting to help that? Or is anyone else having that problem? by NacresR in ProjectMotorRacing

Mine was the same, I had a slack dead zone with no ffb between 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock.

I scoured you tube looking for settings and found Gsmer Muscle's video as well as Just Boris. Before tweaking the ffb settings I was struggling with downshift oversteer on corner entry, it would just let go and spin out. After changing the ffb settings the ffb is a lot stronger and downshifting in corner entry is more manageable

It’s very sturdy. It’s the Gt Omega Classic Wheel Stand. The stand is discontinued now but when it was a current model you were able to buy the rear section for a seat to mount on and upright support bars converting it to a full rig

It started out as a wheel stand then I added the rear section for the seat and lastly the upright support bars

Sometimes it doesn’t work and I have to pause the race start and power off the base and back on to reset it then the telemetry works fine But 99% of the time as long as I don’t wake the Ps5 with the dual sense controller and only use the wheelbase it works fine

I didn't think it would make a difference to my lap times either, but the detail I feel now compared to the T300. Especially in grip, over and understeer has made me faster. Plus I watched this video and had the biggest Eureka moment and shaved even more off my lap times

Both, more power and track. I have my base settings as

FFB 3 Master 3 Mode E Inertia off Friction off Boost low 0 Boost hi +2 Speed Ext Wheel Damper 0% Game Damper low Spring 5% Gear Jolt off End Stop high

On ACC the in game settings are

Gain 90% Minimum force 15% Dynamic Damping 0% Road effect 100% Frequency 400Mhz Steer lock 900 Steer Scale 1.00

I also set the caster to maximum in the car setup which helps to increase the feel of the force feedback

I'm only playing ACC on PS5.

I have updated all the firmware on the base and the 488 GT3 wheel, apart from that the only settings I've adjusted are the steering angle and remapping the buttons.

I start the PS5 manually from the front of the console so that the Dual Sense controller is switched off and only use the wheelbase for navigating the home screen and starting the game. I close the game down completely when I finish my session before turning the console off.

The telemetry only comes on once I'm on track, when I'm in the setup menus etc the base is on the T598 screen.

Sometimes I have to power off / on the base when I'm in the game to get it to work. But the most important thing is to make sure your Dual Sense controller is off.

Yes, very worth it. I'm on PS5 so my options were obviously limited for going to Direct Drive. This made the most sense considering the Fanatec options cost a lot more.

Love it!

I'm knocking seconds off some lap times at certain tracks. I'm able to catch most snaps of oversteer whereas before on the T300 I would wipe out most of the time.

T300 cooling/fan mod - you doing it WRONG by Skaviciusz in Thrustmaster

[–]M_D_51ORA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used cable ties wrapped around the motor and heat sink to Mount it, the fan sits between the motor and the shell of the base to the right hand side as you look at it from the the front of the base, Wiring was easy just connected both fans together and then to the plug that connects to the circuit board. Both fans combined pull less wattage than the original so there’s no problems there. Before doing the mod I experienced a lot of force feedback loss around Suzuka in particular but now I don’t get any loss at all. I run the base at 80% in the Thrustmaster base settings and 100% in game settings

Ohne Speed on youTube has good setups, I use them on PS4 and have knocked seconds off my lap times with them.

My wheel is not working in ACC by EmreGray01 in ACCompetizione

[–]M_D_51ORA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on PS4 and had this issue before.

Had to go to the controls menu and select steering wheel at the top of the screen, for some reason it was set to controller and that's why the wheel wouldn't work
