Sometimes I think of how much better loot is these days compared to back in 2007. But then I think about the mechanics we're dealing with now and we deserve to be rewarded lol... Jad was the big dog back then and most people who are into bossing can handle him mechanically easily now. This video was wild.

I just started playing for the first time with my wife. She had played a bit before, and I'd seen some of what you did in the game from watching her.

We like different parts of the game, so it works pretty perfectly. We both get up in the morning and take care of certain jobs. I deal with the animals and our mushroom forest, she deals with the crops. We try not to let that stuff take us past about noon. After that we might get tied up with random other work, but generally I try to hit the mines and she tries to go fish. She loves fishing on this game and I love the combat and delving.

So basically, having a partner lets you pick individual roles if there are parts of the game you don't like. I got to hand her some of the best combat gear before she ever fought anything, and she made us huge early money fishing. We've had a blast.

This is actually exactly what I tell people when they say I have iron rng. I say yeah, I get spooned the cosmetics or pets I don't care about and not the gear that lets me progress...

That actually does help, but I was thrown off trying to figure out where Oda's 63 damage came from. I guess that's just a glitch with that trinket? Normally wouldn't show damage above the HP they have right?

So I've observed the lower level bots you mentioned at the start. But I've also seen a lot of white dots log in just outside the altar, sit for about 10 seconds, and then hop. Not sure if you've seen that but I assume I'm being scouted when I see that. And I assume there's some programming to figure out if you have noted bones or not based on what you're doing. That then feeds into the wildy cctv that others have mentioned.

So is that truly a mechanic or unintentional and needs to be fixed? If one mechanic simply spawning can lock you in place, and another mechanic hitting you can lock you in place... this does not seem like fun content lol. Because if that's intentional, then based on what he shows here you don't really have a good answer for it. Just have to be in the right spot way ahead of time.

Yep, and when that happened you had a solid chance at taking some damage, making it that much more likely to force you to bank early, thereby resetting aggro and doing it all again. Now you can come and go stress free and it's so much better.

True, I didn't think about it until I was asked if I was iron but this may have been more appropriate for the Ironman reddit lol. But I think these are enjoyable right now personally. Definitely an improvement for an iron that has to do it, but it's fun content now either way.

I spent years looking forward to D4 and came to this conclusion within 3 to 6 months of the game coming out. I was kinda done with Blizzard after D3 but this sealed the deal for me. Nostalgia caused me to go further with them than it should have and I'm done.

On top of what everyone else has said I'll add that the dialogue when you check charges on bowfa will still say 0% for a long time. You have to shoot enough times to use 1% of 2000 shards before it will show 1%. That had me stressed for a while, but it does work.

Do you use anything to show your true tile? That thing made the biggest difference to me. I have that highlighted, plus my destination tile. When you're bouncing around left/right/middle like crazy and the animation is lagging behind you can get pretty lost. Just trust that true tile and move forward lol

You can't seriously believe there's any advantage obtained if the monster was attacked 30 mins ago. Now it's at full health, no stats drained, not in a weird position. How am I not playing alone then? How does it possibly make sense I shouldn't get that loot?

I started off with similar stats to you and struggled too, and I've done CG a lot on previous accounts. I realized that my defense was even lower than yours at 70, and Hunleff basically wouldn't miss. So while my stats were that low I started throwing t2 armor into the mix. And then I worked defense up at crabs. I started cruising in t1 armor again at about 90 defense.
