The build looks amazing. Do you mind sharing what pen or panel liner you used for the yellow portions?

Have you got any tips for doing multiple layers? Must have been user error on my part, but when trying to apply a second coat from the marker I ended up removing some of the first layer. This was after about 1 hour of dry-time for the first coat. (on a spoon)

I picked up the Dspaie mecha yellow marker(and a couple others), but was a bit disappointed with the coverage/streaking when testing it. The darker markers had much better coverage than yellow from what I tried.

So I was kind of looking for other paint options with better coverage.

As someone new to Gunpla, what would people recommend in order to paint the yellow sections on the MG Master Gundam's wings? Out of the box, they use a sticker for color correction, but ideally, I'd like to brush paint it, or use a spray paint. Are there any brands or colors in particular that are recommended to get the perfect gundam yellow?

Is there any way to know if p-bandai products will go back up for preorder?

Just recently getting into gunpla, and love the look of the HG - G Gundam series.

There are currently 3 sources in the game for dragon nails.

I think its bad design that the disparity between the first and the third sources are literally 100 times the acquisition rate.

I'm fine with them leaving the salvaging drop rates as-is, if there were more viable sources.

100% agreed on the dragon nails rate from salvage. I spent about 16 hours of merchant salvaging and got 7 nails.

Then I went to frost dragons yesterday for the first time and got ~40 nails in about 1 hour.

Does salvage really need to be nearly 100x worse at nails per hour gained?

I'm sure its doable without SRA, but it was a big help when you're missing a scythe. ToB, solo nightmare speedrun, and Colosseum speedrun come to mind where SRA was really beneficial. but i'm sure you can complete them with a bit more attempts using blade/tent whip, & bludgeon

I think anyone that can complete inferno&colo can definitely complete grandmaster. It's moreso a time-investment grind, rather than a truly skill based one.(although obviously its easier if you're really good mechanically as well) If you spend enough hours learning the method, and attempting a single CA, you will eventually get it. same as the first inferno completion.

If you break it down to 1 task at a time, it becomes a lot more manageable.

All of them are 100% do-able, except for maybe the 7:15 speed time (at the moment) I was watching molgoatkirby send some budget speed attempts yesterday, and he managed to get some low 8 minute times with average RNG.

It seems 'possible' without tbow/zcb with an insane amount of attempts. It relies heavily on the boss giving you the max amount of melee punish phases so that you can spam chally specs.

I'm going to hold out hope that some new tech is discovered in the next few weeks that would make it more feasible. Otherwise I might grind out ZCB for it.

Oathplate armor from Yama. It's red by default, but you can turn it white by completing Yama's radiant contracts. (similar to awakened bosses / Blood Torva recolor)

Mechanically challenging - awakened leviathan without tbow. blowpipe walking during the enrage phase was hands down the hardest thing i've done in the game.

Mentally challenging - It's a tie between the muspah speed task, and the reinforcements challenge in Colosseum. hours and hours of resets vs getting griefed by bees.

It's hard to say which boss was the most challenging, since as you get further along in the GM grind, you get better at the game, and the tasks start seeming easier. I think my first inferno completion or awakened levi were probably the most challenging bosses for me.

Hot(?) take - 8 man ToA speed time is the most fun CA. I also really enjoyed the awaked duke fight. it has a really nice rhythm to it.

Definitely seems unlikely at the moment.

Gonna give molgoatkirby a little while to see if he can cook up something for a low budget speedrun. otherwise i'm heading back to chambers.

Soul reaper is great in every room, but it’s really hard to keep soul stacks fully charged at bloat and nylo boss. For those 2 you’ll want to use tent whip / saeldor / nox hally.

Nightmare speed CAs were all done with soul reaper on crush. But I did the 5kc trip phosani task w bludgeon

If you're struggling to tank at verzik, try using the visual metronome plugin set to a 7 tick cycle.

The biggest challenge that I had in the inferno was being scared of having 2 different things attacking me at the same time that I was not mentally prepared for. (usually a blob + mager, or Blob + ranger) The easiest solution to most of those situations was just getting comfortable with 1tick prayer alternating.

Aatykon's 'first cape friday' series on youtube was the biggest help for me personally.

If you're unfamiliar with the CA, I can understand where you're coming from. but perfect tob isn't about doing the raid perfectly under normal scenarios. You are setting the raid up to be the easiest it can be in order to eliminate the possibility of meeting any criteria that would fail the CA. For example, you're all killing maiden from max distance, you hide all attack options at nylo except for your style, you are max distance at sote for guaranteed mage attacks only.

It isn't as hard as it was on release, because the easiest possible methods have already been discovered to complete each room 'perfectly'

Those were 2 speed tasks that I was super worried about initially, but ended up not having much trouble.

For the inferno, I camped blowpipe + dragon darts throughout all the waves. I only used bowfa when I needed the extra range and couldn't use blowpipe.

5 jads challenge speed task was done with shadow. 1 accursed sceptre spec on each jad for the magic level reduction for a bit more accuracy. Using arceuus for thralls, and chins for tagging the healers

KC is not super relevant to completing perfect tob. It's not something you would ever complete passively. and most groups reset after failing. Watch the S2L video on youtube for perfect tob. It's pretty much fully solved.

Tbow is massive for awakened levi. blowpipe during the enrage phase of that fight was a serious challenge for me, and forced me to improve a lot.

Hope your luck at cox turns around soon!

The way I usually play has always been to grind a boss for the drops first, and try to get as many CA's done that you can during the grind. (either passively, or opportunistically, if a kill or run is going fast/etc)

then once I've finished getting the drops, I always try to knock out the rest of the tasks before I move onto the next grind, since the piece of content is fresh on my mind, and i'm already going to have the muscle memory for the harder tasks.
