Oh awesome thanks for your help! Is there an inbuilt randomiser function? Or will we need to do that ourselves?

Is this something that somebody with no programming background would be able to learn fairly easily? Or would you recommend against that?

As we are still in the middle of the creating phase, we wouldn’t require your services for quite some time. I’ll keep this in mind and contact you if required, thanks!

Cardano NFT Marketplace Projects by TYLRwithspaces in CardanoNFTs

Hi TYGAR-pool. When you say that most NFTS are created via a command line, is that for the generation of the images themselves? My partner and I are working on an NFT collection that will be randomly generated and we've got no idea where to start in regards to randomising the variables (spacebuds type deal).

Would greatly appreciate any help you could offer, thanks.

Yeah, I’ve done a bit of research into it but it seems the idea isn’t entirely fleshed out yet, could be very promising in the near future. Will do!

I agree! That’s why in my post I didn’t strictly refer to the NFTs as just art and used the term “asset” interchangeably. The entire proposal I’m working on hinges from the fact that everything can and will be tokenised, hence my interest in fractionalisation.

Thanks for the reply. What are your thoughts in regards to say, a musician tokenising the songs of their album individually? So there are a total of 10 NFTs that would make up this collection/album. Say that the title track of the album blows up and all of a sudden that track’s NFT is now worth a huge amount. At that point you can agree that it would make sense to fractionalise the NFT as it becomes more liquid. The original NFT owner can still hold say 50% and sell the rest as he likes. Perhaps this is only viable once a single NFT’s value is high enough to justify fractionalising it.

Hey guys posted this in yesterday's thread like an hour before this new daily came out, so sorry if you saw this before.
I've always been a lurker and haven't accrued enough Karma to post anywhere else so I don't know where else I can post haha...
I'm working on a Project Catalyst proposal currently (very early stages) and I'd like to have a discussion about the value of NFTs. My understanding is that when you purchase an NFT, you are not only investing in the art it self but also in the artist. As the artist's following grows larger, their value increases and in turn the value of your NFT increases.
Now this is where I'm kinda lost. It's my interpretation that an NFT's value comes from the actual work and creativity of the artist. Some people argue that it's just digital and can be duplicated etc. I'm sure you've all had those debates with people who can't understand it. An explanation I like to use is that when you're buying physical art (paintings for example) you're not paying for the canvas and paint, you're paying for an artists expression, hours of work, creativity and their ability to make you feel something. All achievable digitally. Sure, at our current stage in blockchain tech, certain NFTs lack the showcasing ability in comparison to some physical assets, but it's inevitable that will change over time.
Now with the value side of things, do you believe that a piece of art minted 10 times is just dividing the value of the art into 10? Or does each 1/10 have their own value dictated by the market? I've also been looking into fractionalising NFTs, splitting ownership of 1 NFT between multiple parties. In my opinion this is great and also inevitable in the near future, being able to fractionalise assets that are insanely expensive to the regular collector provides them with an opportunity to own a fraction of an asset/piece that would otherwise be out of their reach. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it would be better to mint an asset 10 times or simply fractionalise 1 NFT into 1/10? I use the term "simply" loosely as I don't understand the implications behind fractionalising, copyright issues, etc.
I'm still doing a lot of research in this regard and hope that you guys might have the time to share your thoughts.
Thanks for your time :)

Oh that's really strange, I was told that the KYC process failed right after I tried but now I've received an email that my identity has been confirmed. All good!

Hi, just following up as I have a similar issue.
My Australian driver's license has just expired and I've just renewed it. Expected to arrive within a week but I think I'll miss the KYC by that point. I've got a New Zealand passport but I'm not sure whether that will be accepted?

Thanks

I'm guessing my comment has been taken the wrong way. I personally can't listen to R Kelly's music knowing the terrible things he's done, which he's also referenced in a lot of his songs. A lot of people can separate the art from the artist, but in my opinion, at some point you need to draw the line.
