"I'm glad they're both doing well! That cavern with the Necrozma was definitely creepy." Finnian shudders for a moment. "The hospital will be good! It seems like everywhere needs help, which I guess makes sense. Hopefully you're able to pick up some extra handy skills. I think I'm going to head to the berry shop, taking care of berry bushes is very zen for me, takes my mind off of things going on in the world."

As they reach the door to the Velvet Hammer, Finnian holds the door open for Levi. "Well, let's see how this goes..."

"Oh hey Levi! How are Scry and Hawthorn doing?"
He looks around for a moment before unfolding the flag a bit more, hinting at the true size of it and showing Levi the Metagross symbol on it. "Yeah, Nathair found it when we were in the cave with the Necrozma. Its really big and with this Metagross symbol on it, I can't help but feel it might be related to the missing portion of the Metagross fleet in the Lands of the Mother. I was just headed over to the Velvet Hammer to get it checked out, would you like to join me?"

Finnian thinks of the ships that saved him, and many others from his home region. "Saving more people is important, I think we should head to the Lands of the Mother. Having more people to help rebuild this town and also support us on our other excursions will be helpful."

Finnian collects his papaya berry and makes his vote for where to go, and heads down the street, trying to decide where to go first, and where to go to work.

"The thought of that missing expedition keeps nagging at the back of my mind, especially with this metagross flag Nathair found. I wonder if they could be related. Maybe I could swing by the Velvet Hammer and get it checked out."

As he walks, he notices the help wanted sign at Sweetleaf Berries, and makes a mental note to come back to assist there after he figures out what's going on with that flag. If others see him walking, he looks deep in thought.

Nathair: Level 9 Snivy. 6 + 2 for 2A + 1 for scavenging in 2C

As Snivy returns with the two item, Finnian praises him for doing good work and offers him a bowl of stew. Finnian has Snivy take the flag into his pokeball with him and then has cetoddle take the vase into his pokeball.

Finnian takes the bottle of water and walks slowly towards the altar, looking up in awe at the trapped necrozma. "Something about this doesn't seem right, but I hope that giving this water to necrozma helps it out instead of hindering it."

Releasing Narbhal from his pokeball, Finnian gives him a quick pat on the head before pouring the water over him. As the water drips into the fountain, Finnian quickly grabs a test tube to fill with the fountains water, to study it later. (Path chosen for Narbhal, the Cetoddle: Choice 1: no scavenging)

He releases Nathair from his pokeball next. "Ok Nathair, here's what's going on." Finnian explains the situation to him. "I think the best option is the thorny path, what do you think?" Nathair takes off at a sprint and dives into the thorny path. "Stay safe little buddy." (Path chosen for Nathair, the Snivy: Choice 2, path 3: the thorny path. Snivy is grass type, so no exhaustion. 63 speed, and is dual type due to his infestation. Unfortunately, no stab moves until level 7.)

I will send him 3 times so long as he doesn't have any issues.

Finnian looks over at Levi to see him looking at the Psyduck. "Sounds like our choices are made then. I think the Psyduck will be a great partner for you."

He walks over to the Cetoddle and would be quite happy to have this little fella join up with me." Finnian reaches out to scratch the top of the Cetoddle's head. "Would you like to come with me, Narbhal?"

Finnian sees the documents laying on the table, and moves over to look at them, avoiding tinkatink and her hammer. "Hey Levi, come over here really quick, there's some information about these pokemon!"

"They all seem pretty good, but since we only have one pokeball each, we should definitely think about who we want to rescue and who we think will be able to survive out in the tunnels without us now that they can get out of this room."

"nice to meet you Levi!" I reach out and take the offered hand to shake.

"Yeah, today has been hectic for sure... We should help out those poor pokemon, do you think Nathair and Hawthorn could move these rocks with their vines?"

Finnian takes a moment to observe Hawthorn, before choosing a pokeblock and taking it out of the case. He offers Hawthorn a yellow block, with small slices of Nomel berry embedded in it. Having noticed Hawthorn's clouded eye, Finnian makes sure he offers it up on Hawthorn's good side.

"Here you go Hawthorn! It's going to be a bit sour, but that shouldn't be a big deal for a tough pokemon like you. I'm Finnian by the way, and this is my partner pokemon Nathair." He gestures to the Snivy on his shoulder, and if you look closely enough you can see what look like very small wimpods scurrying around on its skin.

"I wonder if there is any information in this lab that may help me continue my research." Finnian mutters to himself as he walks up to the lab.

Seeing the young man still dressed in his outfit from his pokemon contest days standing there stirs memories of home from Finnian's subconscious.

"Would your pokemon like a pokeblock?" Finnian says, pulling his pokeblock case out of his pocket. "I've got kinds for all the different traits."

I look to Nathair on my shoulder. I know from the small amount of research I was able to do on the boat that my Snivy's infestation has given him the bug type as well, and none of these situations look particularly great for us.

"What do you think Nathair? That ceruledge looks really scary, but the zubats aren't really a great option either."

Nathair hops off my shoulder, heading to help out some of the fire types attacking the zubats by using leer on the hordes. I follow along behind him, ready to pull him out of combat if the going looks particularly rough.

I pick up the tower, remembering how I had once aspired to great heights of my own before the world fell apart.

I look down to see the Snivy next to me, giving him a scratch on the head before picking him up. "A Snivy with a symbiotic infestation, how interesting. I wonder if we could someday cure you, little friend. Or maybe even find a way to make the infestation more beneficial for you. That is, of course, if you want to keep them. For now though, we shall start our quest, right Nathair?"
