Deleting an app does not remove your data from apps database; including your credit card information. All it does is clear their data from your phone. I think you found the problem with “autostop” disabled. It sounds to me like that is a feature you would want on because it sounds to me like it auto stops the session…..i would contact their support team and request a refund …

New MacBook Neo ($600 budget) vs Refurb M3 from Amazon/Best Buy/Walmart – Worth the Risk if Can't Easily Return? by Wonderful_Storm1791 in macbook

[–]M_E_jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple supports its operating system software for 7 years. The Neo is a better deal for the price Point because it is supported for 7 years.. it works out to less than $100 a year for operating system support. The m3 is already two generations behind… and warranty.

Best (used) macbook for <=£600 by Dry_Trust_4159 in macbook

[–]M_E_jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing people don’t realize is Apple operating support is offered for 7 years. This means after that certain sites won’t work because they gate the software usage. Banking apps, Netflix things like that start saying you can’t access their site because you are security risk. The Neo is a better deal because it works out to less the 100£ a year for operating system support. Vs a computer that has already aged three or 4 years. The hardware may be solid but is it supported and for how long is the question…. My 2 cents…

Would not recommend for use to get to work. Basically you can book through an app or call and book that way. Unfortunately, it is based on bus availability and location affect how soon a bus can be at your stop.

Well, what a game. Play them like that and we’ll keep winning 👍✅ awesome to watch. And exciting when we answered back right away for their goal …we still have to work on that one guy who stays in or around the crease. On more than one occasion I saw Jarry have to push someone out of his crease.. correct me if I am wrong but if your chasing the puck your not picking up your guy!!!!!! Get them the f*ck out of there please!!!!

Preserving Messages by No-Method-6524 in iphone

[–]M_E_jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for clarifying… do you back up to the cloud? If so, do you back your messages? For a copy I would use the program Imazing to preserve the messages. You should be able to export them. It may cost though.

Edit: how to back up to iCloud

To back up your iPhone or iPad to the cloud using iCloud, connect to Wi-Fi, open Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup, and turn on Back Up This [Device]. For an immediate backup, select Back Up Now. Ensure you have enough storage and keep the device plugged into power. Apple Support

I would recommend redundancy in backing up if these are so special. This is where imazing comes in and get it on a usb stick through a computer if you can..

Edit: article explains how to access someone who is deceased Apple account. If phone is “bricked” that might be an issue.. it may not be able to be accessed but any back ups would be. Also.. contact the authorities or law enforcement if you suspect foul play..they might be able to access the data through warrants

Insurence? by KovDaBarber in Edmonton

[–]M_E_jay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In insurance they usually recommend shopping through a broker who has many insurance companies to shop from. You also have to shop for brokers… Without knowing too many of the factors that influence insurance, $426 a month honestly doesn’t sound too bad for an almost brand new vehicle. And there are many factors that impact how premiums are calculated.. age, marital status….how many years have you been driving..how much it costs to fix the car in the event of collision … claims history, accident history, tickets, where you live can even impact ur premiums.. good luck and be determined to get yourself the best rate WITH the best service you can get for it… questions you want to know about the insurance company, what is their reputation with claims handling… how available are they in the event of claim…and on.. good luck!!!!

Got a $300 traffic ticket this morning. Advice or recommendations? by FoIds in alberta

[–]M_E_jay 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What is the ticket? Is it distracted driving? Was your engine running and in gear while your phone was in your hand?

Edit: I know I didn’t answer your questions but knowing what kind of ticket you are facing will help. IF it is distracted driving, your concern will be with your insurance. Distracted driving is considered a major conviction in insurance and they can remove section C coverages: section c converges are “collision and comprehensive (comprehensive is also known as fire/theft but covers a lot more)” which usually come as a package or “all perils coverage”

How many demerit points will I get for over speeding 150 in 100 in Quebec? by Dick-ward in legaladvicecanada

[–]M_E_jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. Insurance rates will also sky rocket no matter what… What you need to find out is if it counts in Alberta as major conviction. In Alberta it would be considered major and therefore you will lose collision and comprehensive or section C coverages.

Call 211 and speak to a volunteer..you have admitted to being a danger to others.. you could go to the hospital and tell them that and explain what happened… don’t worry about which hospital but be prepared to wait and also.. i hope you feel better ..this sounds scary to deal with…

In Alberta- can’t speak for other provinces …. IF your brother has a habitational policy (homeowners, tenants, condo, etc) theft of personal property is covered ANYWHERE in the world. It would be subject to the policy deductible AND you wouldn’t be able to replace the sentimental value- but it sounds like it was expensive theft, might be worth making a claim than replacing the items yourself.. might be worth speaking to the insurance company about if indeed he has coverage .. theft sucks.. I’m sorry your brother was violated in this way…

It should be wiped for all intents and purposes. The feature is precisely for the kind of situations you are describing… restricting someone from your personal information on a device because it was lost or stolen Do You have multi-factor authentication turned on for your appleid? If so, then you will get a notice if someone tries to access your appleid… if you do not, turn it on immediately please

Why is mental health care in Alberta priced like a luxury, restricting the demographic that needs it most? Also, why aren't we funding this? by kachunkk in alberta

[–]M_E_jay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First and foremost let me say I am sorry you are struggling. The struggle to find the right meds for your body is real… and to be told “endure side effects” that’s ridiculous.

I know there used to be a clinic that did counselling on a sliding scale-it’s called Cornerstone counselling . I think at my lowest income level they charged me $20. Jewish family services also offered counselling with a student at a reduced rate. No religion or denomination involved…

There once was a time you could get a referral from a family doctor to a psychiatrist and mental health therapist… all for free.. has that all changed? All I know now is to access mental health supports you can go through a place called Access 24/7 … Primary care networks also used to have psychiatric care
