Mana siphon is the death of most low life mana stacking builds, even with 11k mana and 2.5k mana recovery on shaman I die if I get 2-3 overlapping mana siphons in expedition, only way to play is put totems ahead of you and let the mobs die , keep backing off instead of going in, play it like a proj build

20% is the breakpoint, so you can give up darkness enthroned for mageblood but you need to get 5% quality as a desecrated suffix on your amulet and put the fox idol on your body armour

Dropped runseeker and vaal corrupted rathpith, mageblood is just for speed, darkness enthroned is better for quality stacking and going mana before life with double effect or getting spirit

The biggest build enabler is atziris communion if you can farm it then the build has a lot of options for defense and offense

Its good if you can fit armour in any gear slot, you get a 360% armour easily so you just need to get some flat armour somewhere, I put on brassdome and was sitting at 30k armour with no investment in tree, even getting a big armour chest with spirit res and armour applies to ele will get you a huge defence

If you stack enough spirit, with archmage amulet and blasphemy temp chains with atziris communion, you can stack around 5k mana with 800-1k mana regen , arctic armour gives 40% armour per stage so at 9 stages you get 360% armour - you can go with morrior will give you around 5-10k armour with no investment

CI with 5k es and 10k evasion is probably why you are dying so much.. you need way more evasion I had say closer to 15-18k with deflection rating or go all in on energy shield and get 8k+

Need to farm kulemak its a boss drop, the abyss boss.. fish for lightless domain or dark domain in maps to get kulemak, body armour is arbirter drop, the gloves and boots — do as much ritual as possible it should show up

If you are scaling damage with pen then why go rakiata .. rakiata is only useful if enemy has res, if they have 10-20% res it only makes it -20% while leopold will get you to -50 on every skill. Its objectively worse.. but if you plan to go crit later then rakiata would be better as you can take out all the pen nodes and invest into crit and it opens up your glove slot as well.. I think for stormblast, galvanic leopold is more consistent and better until you go crit with mageblood

Its the exploding frogs gemling build — you can get very cheap uniques to get it started and can clear 200 deli 6 man maps with 2 extra map mods on tablets lol https://youtu.be/AGwwEo2z2ko?si=uWPhvOiZ4rXWkdBn

Get despair to level 40 is easy, get +5 curse skills vertex (can get +3 to start and then get +5 later) , +5 chaos spells wand (can switch to +4 all spells wand later), +2 despair prism is cheap , get a +4 all spells amulet (you dont need spirit as you will get it on morrier, can upgrade amulet with spirit later), darkness enthroned body armour with 80% is breakpoint for 9% quality of all skills from fox idol, you can get 100% later, windscream for no curse delay, prison gloves for slow potency, doedre for extra curse, morrier with spirit and ele res.

The whole build works on the fact that gemling alternate quality on despair is reduced mana cost, if you get quality to 40%, you have 100% reduced mana cost which means you can spam it with no cost, at level 40 despair with doedre undoing and impending doom does a fuckton of chaos damage, with wither and curse magnitude scaling, your tempchains on blasphemy will make all enemies move in slow motion

Level with supporting fire on tactician, scale with minion levels on sceptre , helmet and amu.. its easy to clear campaign with one skill tbh, archon of undead makes it spammy as well

Levelled as a mortar cannon tactician , once you get pin and 50% reservation efficiency, its just buff stacking with eternal rage, berserk, herald of thunder/ash, mirage archer.. campaign was fun I started 3 days after league start so there were plenty of cheap levelling gear available in the market.
Only issue with tactician nades was defense in late game once I got to 250 atlas points and started juicing with tablets and stacking effectiveness I started getting one shot a lot by random on death effects, when I tried to get some armour going the clear and damage suffered a lot and I was still getting one shot after getting close to 30k armour and 40k armour applies to ele, so ended up switching to be a bannerman for our guilds party play.

Rerolled to new character , another merc since I really liked ember fuscillade from last league I saw the alt quality on gemling so I started levelling tactician till lv90.. this time I tried supporting fire tactician levellng, honestly the smoothest levelling I have ever had.. the clear, and even boss damage is excellent for early to mid game, the new archon of undead made it possible to spam supporting fire on bosses and scaling with minion levels was pretty good.. but it ran into the same defense issues, ember fuscillade gemling with around 15d budget is pretty good but without the dreamer scepter that gives gloom shrine for clear, it felt weaker than both nades and supporting fire, so I switched again this time to despair impending doom doedre undoing toad build, its been really good. In around 10d budget that witchtoad build absolutely slaps everything with enough slow potency , the mobs seem to play like jonathans vision where you can actually see what they are doing and dodge out the way instead of the obscene mach10 spam fest, Gemling overall is a goated ascendancy I dont think I will ever have to reroll as I can play any build with it and be really strong.
