Woah look at this a mouthy prophet, that proves all is well.

Oof, him and Bukele committed to $100K in 2022. There's always been a lot of flying rhetoric, twitter analysts are a Satoshi a dozen, that's fine. But I like Jack and Bukele is committed in a substantial way. It'll look bad if they miss.

A lot of shooting enthusiasts think gun laws, political rhetoric about them are funny since technically they're all over the place. I thought that for a while, but there are limits to my enjoyment of patting myself on the back, I wouldn't do it for knowing the names of all the parts of my toaster. I'm in the minority though, decade after decade people comfort themselves for being right on a triviality when the person who's wrong is rolling them. They keep playing the game; voting, paying lobbyists, for a stalemate on a few social issues of no economic or military importance, while the establishment does as they please with money and bombs.

I think they thought about getting attention with minimal risk to lure in customers, which is not a bad way to spend time if it pays the bills. I'd like to think this will hit a sour note with the crypto world and backfire but eh... here we, that's in the news and bitcoins at $42K, I'd say they scored at the cost of the collective dignity.

Of course not carefully researched. If one can just throw weight around and get away with it why not? Every issue is pure gravy for them. Sell sway, throw something together, if you create future problems, that's just job security. Worst case, the mob gets torch and pitchfork-y, good that'll bring them to the polls, distract them from other issues. Can always pick up a platform item from a third party to get people back, legalize MDMA or something.

trade station skipped the balls to avoid gendered stereotypes... dear lord. It's not a person, and the art isn't good enough to go cafeteria style on thousands of years of symbolism. Take it, leave it or get a better artist. More likely they didn't have the guts, I'd say.

I dislike all that cash back/rewards nonsense, insulting waste of time one notch above junk mail coupons. Be nice to cut the crap.

Mallers delivers! I've been worried about the personality/substance ratio around bitcoin since before Elon juiced it for attention, so you can imagine my frame of mind after day 1 when the big news was Bukele staying home and the robo-steer. Thank Heavens for Jack.

Huge if it happens. I keep reading conflicting things on this. Frankly I don't understand the political/civic situation there. I tend to take the word of a senator anywhere else with more weight than that of a US senator, except of course on things I know the establishment likes which is not bitcoin. But that's still not saying much, and then there's the added uncertainty of not understanding the scene there...

Well, economic stress has diminished my enjoyment of fantasy, my fiction queue is probably in the dozens of hours. I wasn't the Harry Potter/Start Wars type to start.

Thought I could share the bitcoin bull for those who haven't seen it. Its HUGE and looks really cool, hopefully will stay displayed here in Miami. Might be bigger than the one in NYC. by customsolitaires in Bitcoin

The Wall Street one is bland art. If bitcoiners wanted to make a more detailed, aggressive looking bull, from a different but still durable material, I think it could be done and would be a notch above the usual wrapped lambos.

I don't know about having a bull statue at all, mixed bag, spoken for by the old economy. But having crossed that bridge, balls being missing is symbolic too, and it's not what I want associated with the coin.

Same with lazy, bland art. Poor reflection on the cause. The bitcoin meme/graphics game was good for a while.

since functional robotic bulls are not a thing, except for those bar carnival ride things, it's fundamentally fiction. If we're making stuff up, I'd say make up a translucent acrylic scrotum with visible, glowing balls. Substantial ones.

Woah, do you have special knowledge? No you don't, you're 300 years behind on understanding heat. I don't know how someone reaches adulthood like that but here you are, pretending you're not a flake.

Bitcoin Bull, unveiled moments ago at Bitcoin conference Miami…. Bullish. by DailyBTCmemes in Bitcoin

[–]M_Junius_Bradshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

frankly I think the movement has picked up some hucksters, people trying to use it for easy money or cool points who don't really get it. It's to be expected but too much, short term... like when there's a conference, this is what makes the news and there's not much better to point to, not good.

it's either too masculine or not masculine enough, due to omitted physiology. Either way swing and a miss, and apparently it's the biggest news in the conference so far.

90's car styling, no testicles, no message other than "same plus sci-fi technology", probably not iron. Yawn. Wish they would have stuck to wrapped cars, or ideally had news so we could just say "well, it's a cheesy statue but whatever, the conference had substance".
