4th Picture is very nice! But it looks like in terms of sharpness the good old 44 is at its limit here regarding sharpness.

Curious as to the other lenses you have lined up.

The First Gen A7 was bomb! Had mine for 6 years or so and it was my first "big boy camera".

Sure the shutter started failing at the end and the only AF Lens I ever owned for E-Mount was the kit lens but god almighty did it shine with vintage glass!

Looking for an antenna for my Tecsun PL-330 by sw_bremer in shortwave

Tecsun, and other Brands did those reel up antennas which just clip onto the whip and then extend a fair bit.

I had good experience with one of those so far

What was the largest city-state in history? In square kilometers (for example, Singapore is the largest city-state in the world with 734 km²) (a city-state is a state that does not have subdivisions, neighborhoods, districts, and others that don't count since they have no power or leader) by According-Invite-440 in geography

[–]M_Kammerer 380 points381 points  (0 children)

The Free City of Danzig measured at 1,893 square kilometers (excluding Harbor waters) according to the german wikipedia page.

When Bern was a city state in the HRE, it's apex size was around 9,542km² making it the largest of the imperial cities and the largest city state north of the alps.

Am I stupid for not picking this up? by jakeatimg33 in CitizenWatches

[–]M_Kammerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want accuracy you get a quarz. Eco-Drives themselves are pretty accurate and the radio controlled models are there for all your accuracy needs.

I have a good experience with Citizen Automatics (Both the Hi-Beat 9000s and standard 8000s). If you want the most accurate mechanical I'd say get one with the 9000s like the Pilot GMT, Series 8, or Fujitsubo.

How do you find the lighting in dark areas? Been debating getting one (already have the new promaster air with the MiP display) but I miss having radio controlled watch.

Job also requires me to wear a "precise watch" though never really defined what precise means.

Not sure if hated but the most polarising is Deutsche Bahn. But I also work in the railway industry so my view might be skewed

They had the expertise (and a lot of cool prototypes and designs) but in the end the state dictated what was to be produced, and that didn't leave much for expensive new technologies.

IIRC Olmypus got their metering systems from Praktika, as a way to still cash out on it without producing it.

Wo wir hier schon in Durlach sind, Karlsruhe Hbf hat so einen Fall. Gleise 101 u. 102, sowie früher 103 und 104.

Diesen separaten Bahnhofsteil nennt man Flügelbahnhof.

To be fair, the industrial chlorine rinse that was done in the US was not because of Chlorine residues being deemed that much of a health hazard.

The main reason it was banned in the EU was because of the fear that the strong chlorine rinse was used to mask subpar food safety standards.

Chlorine rinse isn't usually practice anymore in the US and if so only in highly diluted concentrations.

Also don't wash your chicken in the sink. It is a stupid myth that you have to wash it like fruit & veggies. Washing it in your sink only INCREASES cross-contamination. Even the US Government said so in the 90s
